that doesn't mean it's not a retcon. There's a reason they mistakenly called the Divine in the movie Justinia V at first. I think they made a mistake with the timing, so searched the timeline, picked Meredith's overthrow of Perrin as a possible other "what happened in Kirkwall." Switched Justinia to Beatrix, and hand waved Cass receiving the book as something you sometimes do 18 years before you need it. Then said, "vwalah! Movie takes place in 9:22."Actually R2, that isn't a retcon. There was actually something happening in Kirkwall at the time, when Beatrix was in charge.

There's always something happening in Kirkwall it seems
.I thought of the conspiracy of Viscount Threnhold as well, but as R2 pointed out the timeline doesn't match...

Right. It's the just the misnaming that was the problem.

A while back, the devs made a list of foods, each of them is supposed to represent a follower from DAI,it's more like an inside joke.
I believe the list was
Scotch bonnet candies(Solas)
Ortolan bunting (Vivienne)
Beef bourguinon (Varric)
Crusty Baguette (Cassandra)
Shortbread cookies(?)
Strawberry parfait(?)Rump roast(?)
Chilli dog(?)tequila and skittles( possibly Sera)
surprise meatballs(?)
deceptive wax-fruit(?)Note:Varric's and Cassandra's foods weren't in the original list.
Here's my handy-dandy character food chart for reference

LOL Sorry, y'all, I'm apparently being unclear again since I'm on my phone. There's always something happening in Kirkwall it seems

The final "official" date for the movie is 9:22, one year after Perrin Threnhold did his thing in Kirkwall. So officially, that *is* the Kirkwall ref in the movie, according to DG.
I'm suggesting that originally the movie folks meant it to refer to what Anders did on 9:37, along with the Divine being Justinia, and Cass being sent on her quest with book at end. But for some reason, during production they changed their mind or discovered some problem with that, and so remapped those references onto things that plausibly happened 18 yrs earlier.
I think the movie page profiling Justinia V still exists...

I'm so sorry about your Ser Pounce, ilikesocks.
I hope all goes well for little Hawke. ♥

I really don't understand the deceptive wax fruit. To me, that means something that looks shiny and interesting on the outside, but is actually bland and unappealing. Why would they create such a character? Is it a temporary companion who dies early on? I could understand a character that was deceptive wax fruit filled with nasty poison...
Not that this was ever meant to be a serious discussion. It just confuses me!
I agree with this. I don't think he'd ever be roll-your-eyes vulgar, and I don't think strangers would ever see that side of him, but when he was in a relationship and was confident that his affections were appreciated, I think he would be capable of being playfully naughty. He would probably blush and stammer a little when the relationship was new, but once it was established I think he'd be able to relax and show that playful (not necessarily vulgar) side.
This is exactly how I picture Cullen.
I don't see him being vulgar in a really offensive way, but playfully naughty when he's comfortable with someone. I also wonder if some of that raunchy stuff included "Okay, now make passionate kissing and grunting noises." ![]()
When I finally killed him it felt GOOOD. But then I was like "I kinda wanna kill him in a more painful manner.... can I get some man eating bugs or something? Bees? No? Oh well...."
Yes! In my mind, my Cousie completely lost it, and Alistair had to figure out how to stop her from hacking Howe to bits without getting himself killed in the process! She did not handle that encounter well.
I guess I could kill Cullen if it were absolutely necessary, but if there were ANY way around it, I'd take it. I really, really don't want that to be an issue though. Cullen has been through enough, dammit! I agree with Galagraphia about the indestructible plot armor.

To me wax fruit and suprise meatball both seems like characters who first seem like something but are different inside. I have no idea who these apply though. I can't see Cullen being like this cause I feel like we know him as character already and I doubt they would make something large suprise to his character for DAI personality wise.
