I know right!!!

The varric one made me go "THIS IS REAL"

Here's Cullen:
tumblr_n5hh2dkIzE1qghomuo1_1280.png

"Here is a man in whom there is no deception."

I know we're probably (obsessively) reading way too much into the picture, but I love a good theory and these were pretty "Huh." inducing. :D

"Here is a man in whom there is no deception..."

(Although he's not particularly good at spotting  deception, as shown by him failing to spot Mage!Hawke and every Mage party member in DA2...)

Nah, was just pointing out that the timeline of the potential Human Mage Warden fits with the Threnhold coup of 9:21 (although it makes that potential Warden rather young) as Leandra mentioned that the Amell child displaying magic is what caused the Amells to lose the running for Viscountcy to Dumar.

(I like to work out the timelines for various Wardens, although Leliana's Song and the City Elf having a mother implying they are still young, despite it only being 2 years before Origins, always throws me...)

Oh! I see. Gotcha!

Those statues make me uneasy. I wonder if Cullen would have anything to say about them if he saw them? LOL! I bet Varric does!

I would expect Cullen would at least side-eye them. Even if they turn out to be completely unrelated and it's just a similar art style, I would think that fighting Meredith would be a moment that would stick with Cullen, since it was the result of the final shattering of his illusions about a person he trusted and defended. I think it would bring back bad memories for Cullen to see statues that looked like the ones that Meredith animated, and they would make him nervous and edgy at the very least.

That comic always makes me laugh.

But seriously...the fact that Cullen or the Templars did not acknowledge a mage Hawke was really a HUGE mistake with Dragon Age 2.

Does anyone think we will be getting any big news before E3 or do you think hey will hold off? Maybe the week before? Also does anyone have that days countdown :) ?

My guess is we'll get some tidbits here and there (screenshots, snippets of information, and so on) but I'm not expecting any big reveals before E3.

I've been wrong before, though.  ;)

Well, different people like different things and I'm totally fine with it,everyone can like/dislike whatever character they want,as long as they're respectful towards those who like him.Constantly bashing a character or worse his fandom and starting hate threads to provoke them,is unnecessary not to mention offensive at times.

Yeah, I really couldn't care less if people like or don't like Cullen. We all have our individual tastes. There are a few characters popular with the fandom that just don't appeal to me at all either, and that's fine.

It just seems like repeating hatred of a character over and over gets nonproductive pretty quickly, and being rude about a character's fans is never cool.

Does that make Hawke analogous to John the Baptist then?

Both are (possible) cousins of a messianic figure (Jesus/Human Mage Warden), both had followers who later went onto join a messiah (Jesus/Inquistor), both were content to live a relatively simple life and both could be seen as "cleansing" people of their past;

Hawke helping Fenris finally be free of Danarius, helping or dissuading Merrill from the Eluvian and Blood Magic, being a "bad influence" on Isabela and making her return to face the music at the end of Act 2 (and believe in love if romanced), helping Sebastian avenge his family's murder, trying to free Anders from Justice (even if it did go horribly wrong), helping Aveline find new purpose as Guard-Captain and new love with Donnic, and persuading Varric to either mercy kill or spare Bartrand.

And if Hawke's role was ultimately to help set the stage for the Inquistion by being involved in some of the events that lead to the old world order having come crashing down, that makes them the herald for the Inquisitor, much like John was for Jesus.

Let's just hope that Hawke doesn't end up with his/her head on a plate though, eh? I really like Hawke!

I think so too, I did blood magic IN THE GALLOWS and still no one cared.

My headcanon is that Cullen did figure out that Hawke was a mage, but he simply had more pressing problems and forcing a confrontation with Hawke didn't pass Cullen's cost/benefit analysis of the situation.

You know, I didn't see it at first, but with his hair like that, it practically screams Cullen doesn't it?

(Perhaps we should fund the creation of a hybrid clone of Tom Hiddleston and Greg Ellis in order to have a RL Cullen!)

I love making people squrim by hitting on them randomly. In fact I have met several friends, and previous boyfriends/girlfriends that way.

We had someone like that in our little circle of friends in high school. She particularly liked me as a victim because I don't know how to react to these things and I just tended to just flinch like a deer in the headlights. She was also sometimes handsy

He's almost perfect... He's just so... reedy! Cullen is built! I loooved the Thor behind the scenes shots of TH on a mat tossing Mjolnir around! He still had the 20 extra pounds of muscle he put on when he was trying for Thor. And mm-mm-mmmmmm! It looked gud on him!  ;)

Haha this is kind of how I feel  I think TH is a great actor but he's too gangly for Cullen for me. To me Cullen is more stocky. TH has more of a, well, mage build.

Agreed. Have you ever seen The Hollow Crown? The acting is great, but TH's swordfighting blows. He's so tall and awkward, he looks more like a car antenna in a high wind than a seasoned warrior. NOT how I picture Cullen, lol!

To be fair, in Hollow Crown his character wasn't  a seasoned swordsman. I've read that he knocked it out of the park in Coriolanus, though.

Never have laughed so hard and been so turned on by the imagery. I may need medical assistance.

I have tried so hard to resist TH's charms. Honestly. I...he can't be that nice, funny, charming and hot all at once. I think he could make a good Cullen because of that face (and we know he *can* bulk up.), and also that face.
