I've read that he knocked it out of the park in Coriolanus, though.
He did! OTOH, the fight scenes in Coriolanus were highly stylized, which fit the stripped-down, minimalist production. That said, it was obvious the choreographer took Tom's build into consideration when they planned those scenes, which is not something you can say about Hollow Crown. On the other other hand, it's not just TH: ALL the the swordfighting in Hollow Crown is bloody awful. Swear to dog, everyone just waves their swords around like baseball bats. And then there's the moment in Henry V when Hiddleston rolls a critical fail while reaching for his sword during the "Once more unto the breech, dear friends" speech, and ... yeah.
It's a fabulous cast, and the acting is stellar. I just wish the production values had been worthy of the talent involved.
