Do you see those map pieces? A fist, a bird and two crossed keys.

Yeah, I keep wondering what the difference is between the keys and the bells....

Me too. The collector`s edition looks really cool but i honestly don`t think i`ll have a use for all that stuff or even space. I`m more interested in add-ons\dlc for the game so I think i`m going for the deluxe edition  ^_^

Is the deluxe edition available in physical form or its just for digital?

Yeeah, normally I scoff at these physical add on things that just catch dust. But... I've never anticipated any game ever like I am this one. I may just have to go for it... *gulp* (and not tell my husband...)

How is this not a thing yet? This needs to be a thing.

Same here.

And I'm going to spend the remainder of the day attempting to talk my husband into letting us get one. We're getting two copies of the game as is, so um... I don't see this going well. D:

I ordered mine and the Gamestop site screwed me over, it somehow did not add my reward card, which has over 100$ on it and charged me the full price ... /sigh

So these different map markers seem related to something I've been wondering. What is the difference between the three "pillars" or "facets" of the Inquisition Cam has been talking about, run by Leliana and two other individuals, and the military, espionage, commerce upgrades for our keeps described at PAX last summer.

Cam says: "Military force" "secret facet with spies and assassins" and "political pillar"

"The Inquisition has three main pillars right, they have a military force lead by one particular character, you’ve got a secret facet with spies and assassins lead by Leliana from DAO and then you’ve got a political pillar, which is all about the politics, the backroom deals and the connections you have… not just through nobles but also through merchant houses and stuff like that. And the area you decide to invest in both in terms of how you decide to grow and customise your Inquisition but also the types of content you decide to engage in is all up to the player."
— Cameron Lee [AusGamers]

Last summer, it was military, espionage and commerce (a little different from political, altho Cam mentions merchants in the above) for the keep upgrades we can choose. In that demo, the commerce keep def has a bell, not keys on top, while the other two symbols seem the same, fist and owl.

Spoiler

Are they supposed to be the same? Once you upgrade a keep to be military... does Cullen hang out there? Does that mean you tap into the military pillar's specific talent tree?

Or could they be slightly different? Maybe the keep upgrades are just a part of the talent tree for each pillar. Maybe those three concept art people aren't placeholders, but are intended to be different than Cullen, Lel, and Scribbles?

Spoiler

Did they change that marker thingy for the military faction to a lion head or something? Wasn't that a fist before, or am I imagining things?

Sadly it's way to overpriced for me and I probably can't afford it. Haven't seen the CE or the DE as a physical copy for PC overhere anyway. So still no pre ordering for me, I guess.*sigh*

And back to lurking I go.

Oooh imagine that if the advisors travelled from keep to keep. So as you upgraded the keeps they would travel there to make sure everything goes according to plan. They would be a nightmare to track down lol

Maybe they are changing the designs? Or maybe the bells are mission objectives, or some allies who are not a part of the Inquisition? Ah, we'll see on E3 I guess. Looks like DAI will be getting a lot of attention, and I bet youtube will explode :)

Also, this new Inquisition emblem? Maker, yes! I've doing blood sacrifices been praying to Andraste to get it before our 1000 pages celebration!

Is it pretty typical for devs to change designs this late in the game? You'd think they'd have all of that stuff set in stone by now.

sigh..oh the tarot cards. with DA lore...*swoon*

*reluctant snippage*

What tarot do you think that Cullen will be?

I can see the Grey Warden being the King of Cups, Cole being Death, Cassandra being Justice (or the Hierophant), Vivienne as the The High Priestess, Leliana as the Empress, Varric being the Hanged Man and the Inquisitor being the Fool (or the Tower).

Weren't the bells and fists from some very early ple-alpha demo? And the portraits too. Maybe they got feedback they didn't like and decided to change them. Or maybe it was done to avoid spoilers, and to confuse us.

When I watched the demo in London he said during it that the commerce one also included political based stuff.

Interesting that the fists have changed to lions.

Maybe they have two pieces each? Like the political gets bells and keys, military gets spiky lions or spiky fists and the assassins get a bird and something else?
