I'm just so worried about getting the game ON October 7th. What if I get the Uber and my tiny gamestop doesn't have it on the 7th?! I'll DIE. But then, if I just get the DE, will I be able to download it without problems... And which platform?! PS3 or PS4?! It truly depends on the keep I guess, and you'd think i would obviously know all about that, but it's still beta and I am just a bucket of feelz. Someone slap me. Then help me. XD

 

 

I mean, as long as you pre-order it, they should be holding it for you, and as far as platform choice I will always say PC it's entirely up to you

They'll have enough for each preorder they get. So they'll have it :3

The keep will work for all platforms! As long as you can access the internet to download your world save.

What's super lame is that I can't get the internet where I live. Sooooo I'm a little anxious because I can't access the keep here where I am. I can at my mother's, but I don't live there. I'm thinking I'll go PS3 just to be safe because of my saves... I don't know. I know PS4 would be super pretty, but what good would pretty do me if my game state isn't right? I'm superrrr attached to my personal saves and don't want any part of a default.

I checked the GameStop website and apparently the Uber edition can only be ordered online (which kind of confused me because today I called the GS where I pre-ordered the Deluxe edition and was told that 'it should be available for pre-order in the store in the next day or so')

 

Not wishing to leave anything to chance -- The last time I waited until the last minute for something I missed out on seeing one the most notorious musical theater flops ever - the original "Carrie - The Musical" -- I pre-ordered the thing online with a card I reserve for gaming purposes.

 

I'll still swing by the GS store tomorrow to see if it will be available for pre-order in-store...and yes, I'm getting it mostly for the Dragon Age Tarot Deck. Who knew?

After Duncan in Origins, m!Hawke in DA2 and the Grey Warden in Inquisition, I'm think that it's become part of the rules that every Dragon Age game must have at least one character with a truly epic beard.

I'd personally get the physical CE. In my experience if you pre-order early they will almost definitely have a version for you as long as you pick it up the day it releases. I'm not one who likes owning games digital. I like to feel it and I like to collect too. Owning a game digital seems artificial and technically, you're only buying a license which means it can expire. I just get paranoid that one day the games will disappear on the digital platform to download and you'll never be able to get it again. With the physical disc it will always be there as long as you take care of it. Plus it's pretty to collect on my shelf.

I'm not going to tell you that you should or shouldn't buy it; it's your money. 

 

What I will say is this: If you spend more on a game (or anything recreational) than you can comfortably afford, you are risking diminishing your enjoyment of it, because instead of experiencing just fun and excitement about it, you may also feel guilty about how much you spent and stressed out about how you will afford the things you need. Personally, I would rather not overspend on fun stuff because I want it to stay purely fun and not become a source of anxiety.

 

That said, how much you can comfortably afford is different for each person/family, and you know best what kind of budget you're working with.

 

They have got to be kidding. That's more than my electric bill.

 

Yeah. It's... seriously more than a third of my paycheck. It's cool but I just can't. 

 

I can't just drop that much cash on a game, and I can't save up for it right now because I have quite a few expenses coming due in the next few months and I'm saving my fun money for my vacation.

 

So I will just have to enjoy from afar.
