She's only in it very briefly, so no worries. You could probably just go through and tape a piece of paper over her name every time it's used

That's understable.. there is names I hate or have bad association with cause of someone I don't like ^^;

From what I understand Fiona is only a character in The Calling. If you read Asunder and TME only then you will have no problem.

Spoilerand for Cullen, I think you just need to suspend your disbelief. I highly doubt his addiction was broken EVER. He was also a younger member, so he could have gone longer without needing lyrium, versus a higher Knight Captain like Evangeline.
Hm, then maybe his short experience with lyrium was one of the factors that saved him back in the Circle? Maybe he wasn't addicted yet, or his addiction hasn't formed into something ugly yet, like you say, and that's why he managed to stay sane, and resist the blood magic.

Also, that little incident is part of the reason why I, personally, would prefer to keep the silly, crazy talk in the thread to a minimum. Because people enter this thread, just to poke around and see what we're up to, and if we're going on seven pages of gifs and penis jokes, people come away from the thread believing everything they ever heard about us: Cullen fans really are insane people not to be trusted, etc. etc.
There shouldn't be a reason for why a person makes a harmless joke and then gets jumped all over for it. Except here on the BSN, that's pretty normal if everyone figures out you're a Cullen fan. You're obviously insane, so it's everyone's right to pick on you.

You know, I made that (now infamous) blog post about Cullenites and etc, and some jerkface decided to try to flame us in the comments. I quoted some "old saying" (which I actually just made up, but that's how things work in Texas - we make sh!t up, Johnny on the spot, and call it a proverb) of "The only thing worse than the chicken that quacks is the a** who can’t stop braying about it.” And that's pretty much the truth. Yes, people might get a bad opinion of us or think that they've confirmed some horrible truth, but why should it matter to us anyway? We like each other and get along just fine. The Devs don't mind us (perhaps might even *like* us) and GE thinks we're fab. Who else do we need approval from?

I do respect how you feel, though, and will personally resolve to not act too foolishly...until the 1000 page celebration. All bets are off once semi-nude Cullen pics start getting linked around. I can't be held responsible for myself then. Whatevs.
I just read what Socks said, Artemis, and I agree that some people took what she said the wrong way although luckily it only seemed like a few people. I think everyone should just respect each others' interests and have fun with the game!
We may be passionate about Cullen but that is what fills our lives with such awesomeness!

Because some of us, many of us, would like to occasionally leave the thread and have discussions about things other than Cullen without being harassed. I may want to discuss gameplay, or Cassandra, or romance, or the dialogue system, and so I go to those appropriate threads, and maybe I want to just meet different people and feel as if I'm part of this overall community of fellow BioWare fans. I would like to be greeted with respect, "Oh, you're a Cullen fan? Cool, I'm a Solas fan." Simple as that!
Now to some degree this feels like blaming the victim; "Don't act silly or the bullies will catch you and make fun of you." Yes, I agree; that's not fair, and it's lame to blame ourselves for the way rude people treat us. But I do think there's a happy middle ground we can all shoot for

I think we should just probably keep our Cullen love contained in this thread Because some dragon age confessions on tumblr gave me the impression that we are a proselytical sect, which declares an Exalted March on everyone who says they don't like Cullen. I've never seen anything like that from Cullenites, and those confessions don't get much attention, but they do spawn, and I wonder if people imagine things, or simply envy our happiness, or try to troll, or ruin our reputation.
I didn't see anything criminal in the marriage thread btw. I think it's just that after Fenabela hate this topic is a bit touchy, so some people overreact.
I doubt some people will ever change their views. Many hate the character and because of that they like to paint all fans with colours like "crazy fangirl", "abuse-supporter" or "brainless, just after Cullen cause his looks". They think what they want. I don't think you can please everyone and I personally I like the jokes and lightheartness.. it's fun in this thread.

I personally don't think we do enough joking! Lol I don't see why this issue needs to be brought to light at all as there are hardly a lot of jokes being tossed around. I've seen more serious conversations and, quite frankly, I could care less what others think! Most of them will think that if they're getting to you and annoying you, they're winning and they will jab at you more and more. Fact of life. But, yeah, utlimately, this thread is really serous with its discussions so unless you want absolutely no lightheartedness, I can't see how you'd be able to tone it down at all.
