The other side began collapsing. Damon, Elena, Tyler, Stefan, and Enzo died. They did some spell of Silas' to bring them back to life. Elena, Stefan, Alaric, and Enzo came back as humans, Tyler is either a werewolf or human. While Lexie didn't come back because she was worried she'd kill her with all these people coming back and that she'd want Stefan to get his brother instead of her than she had found peace with helping Bonnie not letting the traveler leader come back. Damon got stuck on the other side after some witch stopped the doing the spell. Now both Damon and Bonnie got stuck on the other side when everything went to hell. They held hands while a white light took them to some kind of heaven/hell. And I'm guessing the first half of the next season will focus on them trying to escape back to life.

That sounds an awful lot like what someone told me happened in the books, and then Damon turned into an Angel.

Yes in the books they visited more of a dark dimension like place but I'm assuming the show will take a different road since they don't like to follow the books or so the writers like to point out every time something from the books makes it on the show - words from a really biased writer on the show who likes to lie. They have said no new supernatural creatures so that ignores the possibility of Angels.

Finally finished The Masked Empire yesterday! I now have more questions than when I started! Also, I've just added those people who sent me a request on here to the Cullen Safe Haven group, sorry it took a while, I hadn't noticed them, LOL!

I hadn't even though of that! If he is, then I'm bringing him back! I loved Felassan! I'm wondering if maybe he was working for the big bad/agent for the big bad but defied him which is what got him killed.

 

By the end of the book I felt that Gaspard, Michel, Briala and Celene weren't bad people at all but they used "the game" and/or it's influence as an excuse to hand wave bad behavior (which is obviously encouraged), reminded me of that film/novel Dangerous Liaisons (Le Liaisons Dangereuses) a bit. I also felt that they were all pretty much using each other for their own gain, even Briala to an extent, despite the fact that obvious she and Celene did care deeply for each other.

 

I guess to summarise, I can't say I'm keen on the Orlesian nobility at all. I think I'll be siding with Briala to help the city Elves reclaim what's rightfully theirs, if we're given a choice. Gaspard is too much of a thread to Ferelden, so I won't be helping him. I'd like to find Ser Michel and see if I can get him to join/help the Inquisition, and help him find/kill Imshael.

I think Big Bad just kill him, because he knew too much. If it was the Big bad.

I'm speculating that it was Flemeth. She could want to access the eluvians to get Morrigan or her child (if the child exists in that version of Thedas), and Flemeth has always had some strange connection to the Dalish. Also in Witch Hunt Morrigan warns us, that Flemeth has some scary plan, and it sounded big.

But Flemeth may be just a part of something bigger, or maybe she's behind the Big Bad. Because I don't see why would she want the Fade to consume the world. Actually I don't see what can be gained from it. Except it will probably make demons very happy, but demons can't be behind that. They give me the impression of very passive beings, both spirits and demons. They can possess, they can sneak through the Veil, but they don't seem like they are motivated to do something really big. Or have the imagination, or fantasy to imagine something. According to the Chant, that was what pissed off the Maker about them: they lacked the impulse to create something new. And even in the Fade they only recreate what the mortals dream about. So, Big Bad can't be a demon, imho. It must be something with passions of a mortal. But why would a mortal want to merge the material world and the Fade? I have no idea.

I feel like such a geek, but as soon as I saw the middle figure there, my immediate thought was that his clothes look like a near match for Lon'qu from Fire Emblem: Awakening. 

That is EXACTLY what it looks like! Man that was a good game. So many hours of my life lost to the entire FE franchise...

You should! I am reading The Stolen Throne right now, about halfway through, and it is amazing! I love the characters and their backstories! Maric is a big favorite of mine although I also like Loghain and Rowan. Gaider's writing is superb.
