OT, but I was looking on Redbubble for a dragon age t-shirt, an I found these.

I think I prefer without. My headcanon just is that he has dark circles cause he has been having nightmares and PSTD and I hope he's over those in DAI ^^

 

 

Maybe he's temporally out of templars? I think the catchprase: "Whatever we were before, we are now the Inquisition" might apply Cullen too. I think he'd still think he's templar but maybe he would serve Inquisitor under commands of Divine and return templars after that.. and because of this temporary job he has he might be without templar armor and symbols for a while.

 

Looking at his chest plate it actually looks like he's removed something from it, there are 3 little holes where and insignia or something would've been attached previously. In The Masked Empire a few times it describes Gaspard and soldiers/nobles removing the insignia/decorations from their armour, sometimes to clean it up and repaint them and other times due to various codes of honor and tradition calling for them to strip it down to basics. Perhaps Cullen's bare chest-plate is symbolic? The fact that the 3 holes are there could be suggestive of him removing the sword of mercy and casting aside the Templar Order. After all, the devs did say that the companion's/character's outfits are supposed to tell a story of it's own and be significant to the character wearing it.

If I can do it, I will totally steal a pinch of Andraste's sacred ashes for him I hope I can do it before everything explodes. I need something with epic healing powers. And the only other epic healing thing I know is Ser Pounce-a-Lot, except he's not a thing, and I don't know where he is.

Ah, the Sacred Ashes themselves... forgot about those. Go go, deux ex machina! That would be nice to save those for a rainy day. 

 

I would suspect that he's still on Lyrium, BioWare generally like to keep a little bit of angst in there, even if it's something we'll never see or hear in-game. The knowledge that getting into a relationship with Cullen will eventually mean that he's gonna start losing his memory and end up a right old state is all part and parcel of taking him on. In the same way that romancing Anders means that there's always the risk that we'll lose him to Justice or that he'll do something stupid, and romancing Fenris means that his Lyrium markings could cause untold amounts of damage to him down the line.

... Why is it always the men that have the terrible angst attached to dating them? LOL!

LOL Keep in mind that's the one thing they HAVE promised us about Cullen's future: angst.

Y'know, there's so much angst that's happened in Cullen's story arc already that I'm not even sure I can predict which piece of angst they'll run with, lol.

I wonder if Dragon Age's NPC romances will be equal with companion romances, I have seen many comparing them to ME's NPC's romances but this is Dragon Age so the guys doing the game are quite different and maybe they have seen what was said about ME's romances and will do better. I really hope NPC romances aren't going to be inferior in DAI, well especially since Cullen seem to be romance option and I don't want relationship that's just quick add-on with him ^^; Well I have faith in DAI team.

It makes me wonder if the red Templars are what became of those who rebelled with or without Lambert still alive to lead them and the Divine loyal ones all just joined Cullen's military faction (either created by The Divine who gave Cullen the leadership role, or created by Cullen himself).

I wonder how long it takes for the Inquisitor to go from just a freak who stepped out of the Fade to someone who's starting to get a bit of backing behind them? If that time scale in-game is supposed relatively substantial (months) then perhaps Cullen's and the other two factions formed after the peace gathering massacre? In which case it could be Cullen who formed his militant group off his own back because he wanted to do something about the chaos and who's better qualified to fight demons and deal with Red Templars than an An ex-Templar with a strong army behind him! Then, when he hears about the Inquisition or we hear about him we go and seek him out (or visa versa).

Well, the trailer kind of looks like Varric finds the Inquisitor right after he falls from the Fade (raining demons, remember?), and then Cassandra's men find them, and I suspect our tutorial will be to close that first breach, and when we do it, everybody realizes that we can fix all these holes in reality, and so we are important, and then Cassandra suggests we form the Inquisition. I don't know how much time it will take to prepare our first stronghold, bring in the advisors, recruit all party members, and whether or not we will do it all ourselves, or will it be a cut-scene.

I think I'd like to recruit Cullen myself  I want it to be like in DAII, like we go somewhere, and find him doing something, and turns out it's something big
