Well, the trailer kind of looks like Varric finds the Inquisitor right after he falls from the Fade (raining demons, remember?), and then Cassandra's men find them, and I suspect our tutorial will be to close that first breach, and when we do it, everybody realizes that we can fix all these holes in reality, and so we are important, and then Cassandra suggests we form the Inquisition. I don't know how much time it will take to prepare our first stronghold, bring in the advisors, recruit all party members, and whether or not we will do it all ourselves, or will it be a cut-scene.

I think I'd like to recruit Cullen myself  I want it to be like in DAII, like we go somewhere, and find him doing something, and turns out it's something big

On the one hand I want to rescue him, but on the other hand I'd kinda like to be dealing with the Red Templars, get into a spot of trouble and then BOOM! A shield comes down to block the death blow and with a slice of a sword the Red Templars are cut down, the figure helps us up as the camera pans up to show us it's Cullen... then I melt into a puddle under the desk!

Omg, call me pathetic but just imagining that scene idea I just described makes me go all smiley and excited LOL! I think I would literally scream... I'm gonna need to record my reactions whilst playing DAI and turn it into a bunch of highlights videos!

I like this! Although the image of rescuing Cullen from prison it`s also tempting. Either way i will be so excited for seeing Cullen that i will be screaming at my Pc screen like a crazy woman

I kind of want something in-between, like how we meet Aveline in DAII. It was a perfect introduction

 

And a bit of offtop: I was thinking, what's deal with blood of Andraste? I mean "sweet blood of Andraste" or "Andraste's blood". Does it mean Andrastians have some form of Holy Communion? Why do they swear by her blood?

The problem is I can see it in my head playing out as if it were a scene from the game, but I wouldn't be able to put it down on paper in a way that describes suitably for a story... which is usually were R2 comes in! That's how we wrote that collaboration fanfic that time, lol.

It was that gender swap contest on dA years ago, and it was the best thing in the world!

I hope he still has these circles around his eyes. Some people just have them, and it has nothing to do with the lack of sleep, or anything, it's just the layer of fat under the skin of their eye lids is very thin, and the skin is thin too, and they always look tired. Cullen, being a blond man with light skin, may just be the type. He looked tired even in DAO, when he had no reason to (unless dreaming of f!Mage was keeping him up all night). And why would he suddenly look younger 10 years later? Besides, I like his look, it makes me want to hug him 

 

True. I love that it's still Cullen the character, but he sure doesn't resemble the one that we met in Origins very much anymore. I thought he had a more distinctive look back then. I'm sure they wanted to make him "prettier" now that he's a romance option, but it feels like it's edging on the side of too different ... That said, character is most important, so once we get to see him moving and talking and acting like Cullen, I'm sure I'll be happy with it. Not everyone has to be a supermodel though  : p

I wonder how long it takes for the Inquisitor to go from just a freak who stepped out of the Fade to someone who's starting to get a bit of backing behind them? If that time scale in-game is supposed relatively substantial (months) then perhaps Cullen's and the other two factions formed after the peace gathering massacre? In which case it could be Cullen who formed his militant group off his own back because he wanted to do something about the chaos and who's better qualified to fight demons and deal with Red Templars than an An ex-Templar with a strong army behind him! Then, when he hears about the Inquisition or we hear about him we go and seek him out (or visa versa).

 

This is how I see the game going: 

 

 

-Prologue: Stepping out of the fade

-Act 1: Founding Inquisition

-Meet Cullen

-Get Skyhold

-Act 2: Working to close veil tears, stop civil war, templar vs mage conflict, warden problem, and other stuff

-Acquire lots of keeps

-Become pretty well known

-Have sex with Cullen

-Big Bag attacks Skyhold 

-Act 3: Working to stop big bad, and finish up civil war, templar vs mage, warden problem, and other stuff

-Become very well known

-Have more sex with Cullen

-Defeat Big Bad

 

 

 

 

I could see Cullen and Leliana at the gathering. And Cassandra. Who knows where Scribbles comes in.

So, talking about Cullen and the dark circles around his eyes, would you prefer him to still have them or not? I think I'd like them to still be there if only faintly since that's part of his signature look: the curly/wavy hair, the goatee, the amber eyes and the purple/red circles around them.

I would also like to put forth the mole, please. It doesn't have to be big! I was a little happy when you drew attention to it in DA2, even though it was practically invisible. It's just one more thing that gave him a distinctive appearance since nobody in the game has them. I'm pretty sure even Leliana had a beauty mark in her concept art. Is a scar really that much easier to texture onto someone's face? Cassandra already has one, too. I just don't understand : (  Like I said though, I'll love him no matter what  : )

Now this I'd like to see!!I mean we were the ones who saved/helped him in DAO and DA2,so It would be awesome if he saves/help us instead, this time.

All I want to see, is an impressively badass introduction he deserves it in the end of day,being our advisor and an important npc.

Breaking him out of Red Templar prison is definitely appealing but after rescuing him in both DAO and DA2, I wouldn't mind if we met him when he comes to our aid somehow. (Then Cullen and Team Protagonist are even at 2 and 2.)

I'd like that. Having proper names to give all of the companions would be nice. Though, I would miss the fan-made nicknames some of the gang have got! Beardy, Dramatic Hands Mustache guy, etc...

This would be great. Personally I've always thought Cullen was his first name but ofcourse it could just as easily be his surname. Might be a little odd getting used to not calling him Cullen if his first name turns out to be Ernest or some such

 

Althought I wouldn't mind him being just Cullen sort of like Leliana or Morrigan.

More likely is that we were speculating about it on the thread and I got it stuck in my head that way. So, anyone else see any official comments, other than the DG tease some time ago?
