I'm not sure with Cortez but with Traynor she just initates things with you regardless of how you talk to her. She comes up to play chess, sees that you have a shower, asks to use it and then she makes a hint about fancying "a certain lady", Shepard plays dumb and then you can either join her in the shower or stay put, if you stay put then she takes the hint, LOL!

 

Gahh not sure if anyone responded about Cortez but I'm about ten million pages behind and I'm in a hurry, so I'll just respond here.

 

You have to approach Cortez because he's grieving over his dead husband, so he's not going to make the first move or even really hint at first that he likes you. You have to talk to him a lot, then eventually encourage him to leave the ship (because he's become a bit of a shut in since Robert's death). He admits after a few chats that there's a memorial wall he wouldn't mind visiting on the Citadel, and he could put up Robert's photo along with all the others. You can talk to him at the wall once he goes there, but it's still not a romance path yet. Finally, back on the ship, he says he's feeling more positive about life and (I can't remember this part too well) either Shepard suggests he go to a club or he himself says he intends to go clubbing and have some fun next time the ship docks. So next time the ship does dock, you can go find him in the club and ask him to dance, and that initiates the romance.

 

So it's pretty well-done I think, although I personally could never go through with the actual romance because I felt like it was just too soon after his husband's death, and it just didn't feel very romantic.

I just started reading Asunder, and seeing all these spoiler tags makes me afraid that some sh*t is gonna go down. Must....not...click......

I am extremely skeptical that this book is not gonna give me some major feels. TME made me cry. These Bioware writers seem to feed on our tears, even through their books. 

 

Bioware...where sh*t goes down.    And I haven't said this yet....LOVE the purple hair.

I wouldn't because we still just don't know. Even in the survey leak, "Cole isn't sure what he is." Cole himself is an unreliable narrator of his own story. In the final chapter, he seems sure of what he is, but that doesn't mean he's right.

Nope, nothing new yet. Just moving at normal speed.

 

We got into a couple conversations about random things, other than that it's just the normal pace.

 

It's a LITTLE faster than normal LOL I was supposed to shower thirty minutes ago but I'm still catching up from when I left last night...

Cole is early 20s I believe, although the one picture we have of 'him' (as it's not officially confirmed that's him..but we know) looks older than that. I doubt he'll be romanceable due to his personality anyways. 

 

 

I think in the book Rhys says he looks like he's in his early 20s. And yeah he won't be romanceable unless DG was trolling us or was overruled; he expressed shock that anyone would want to romance Cole since "he has the mind of a child." Obviously it wasn't evident to everyone who read the book that he had the mind of a child because a lot of people did want to romance him, and I'm pretty sure most of those people aren't pedophiles (I know I'm not) lol

I worked with young kids for a long time, so I saw similar mannerisms in Cole. That's why I too was surprised anyone wanted to romance him. I don't think anyone is a pedophile though - people see things differently.

I doubt there'll be so much Cullen-related news at E3 that we can't talk about that here, and save the Dragon-Age-related but not Cullen-related stuff for chat or another thread.

 

At any rate, I'm sure the people who have been around the thread for many E3s etc. will have it under control.

Well he has really had time to grown on fandom ^^ I hoped that he would be in game so long time and now that it's confirmed that he's LI too that's alone enough reason for me to get hyped about DAI XD

As far as Cole---I'm beginning to think that maybe not seeing him as having the mentality of child through his mannerisms etc, and wanting to romance him may just be more of an age/generational thing? Like sum are closer and indeed younger than the technical age of Cole...soooo they may not be viewing him in the same way as a person that's in their 30's for example?

Indeed, I have a suspicion that sum of the split on Tallis' character may be related to age differences and the diff perceptions that come along with that. Not that it's just females that don't like Tallis because [insert your fav. unfair, stereotypical misrepresentation of women here] that David insinuated (which I felt was really unfair and quite beneath him). There are quite a few guys that don't care for the character, either.

 

Younger ppl may relate and empathize more with Tallis--and the way she talks and her mannerisms/ways of saying things, more than sum of the older players which might just find it grating.

 

I know it's broad generalization, and I mean no offense to folks that like her character.
