I think the looks always play some part in attraction, usually big one too. But I don't think it can only be diminished to that like some seems to do. I remember this thread here asking why people like Cullen and someone just answered: they are fangirls and they think they are handsome. Well there is fangirls who think he's handsome of cource but it's not all about that, personality and character traits and flaws plays a huge part. It was somehow insulting just diminishing cullenites love to only drooling over him when Cullen is much more complex, intresting and gray character.

 

Exactly And I think saying that those who want to romance Cole only want to do so because they haven't read the books and just think his fanart and/or screenshot is hot is doing the same kind of disservice to them that people used to do to us. That was really the point I was trying to make... though as usual... my point gets lost or misinterpreted lol

Here's what happens when we get to Page 1000.

Yikes. Only 50 pages to go. I've been working on it obsessively for 2 weeks, but it's still going to be close. Well, at the very least, I can send somebody progress screenshots.

 

Hope nobody minds, but I'm modifying original BioWare level art instead of creating it from scratch. For that true DA2 feel. ("Haven't I seen that cave before?")

Those screenshots are nice, but it's sooooo hot and dry and desert-y where I am right now, looking at those just reminds me. I'd like sum more screenies of  nice snowy locales. Maybe sum rainy places. We've had a few...the Emprise du Lion, I think. I find those to be soothing this summer.

that does suck. First World problems, or not.

 

I wanted to make a trailer-y vid, but the Cullen related footage is kinda hard to come by. Lola and Nikki did a great job with thiers for the 4000 page celebration.

 

But being on console I would need sum really good, SAFE, free software to help pluck some footage...and that right there sux. (i'm so happy new gen consoles can record gameplay now...jesus! it's been a pain in the rear.)

I would really avoid that kind of generalization considering that's why many people think we like Cullen.

Considering that the very first time I saw Cullen I thought, "Oooh, he's so cute!", some of those people may be right. Granted, through time I've learned more about him and all that but at first glance? Of course that's one big reason Why I like him. Again, there are many other things about him that I now really like, but, I guess if the other people want to think that the only reason I like him is because he's hot, then they can, and they wouldn't be totally wrong. Butttt I may just be a bad person.

I think the point was more that there are many reasons we like Cullen, just as there are many reasons for liking and disliking any character. But generalizing about the fans instead of talking about the character is a slippery slope, and something that quickly turns offensive... As we see in most Cullen threads.

And I do think Cullen is cute, but I'm mostly w/e about it. I think a lot of people are cute. I've really started channeling my inner Isabela the older I have gotten.
