Just finished my run through the mage origin story; even did the "flirt options" to hear Cullen's lines. Having chased him through a door from whence he vanishes without trace, I suspect he must be a mage. Sadly, I am unable to report this suspicion to First Enchanter Irving? What a shame.

Oh, crap. I'm struggling with DAverse for this Cullen fic I'm bumbling through. With Templars, if someone is born, say, in a place like Denerim... would they go straight to the Circle or a chantry when they first enlist? I was thinking that maybe they'd be placed at the Chantry first for some sort of training, then maybe moved to the Circle after. Having not read any of the books, though, I'm unsure if that's something we actually know at this point.

Alistair says he was trained in a monastery. And once he was brought into the Circle to participate in a Harrowing. In Kirkwall it seems like they train the recruits right in the Gallows, but the Gallows is bigger than Kinloch Hold, where there is probably not enough space for the recruits. I'm headcanoning that Cullen was in the same monastery with Alistair, and he also has his name on all his socks (although they should be wearing the hosen under that armor, and that's what I made him wear in my comics, socks would be too impractical, they can slide down in the middle if the battle)

I don't think there is any official lore about it. But some kind of religious indoctrination may be normal. Although Carver went straight into Templar gear when he joined. Unless Kirkwall is different...? I dunno.

Yeah, it's confusing with there being no real clarification either way. I think I'll go with him being in a monastery with Alistair. Sounds good to me!

You can't tell anyone this but I have info from a veeerrrryyy good source that says we'll learn everything after October 7th....

In fact midnight on October 7th will be known as the day of ascension....dragons will roam the sky, portals into other dimensions shall open and the very fabric of time will stop because it'll be to busy playing DAI that day to carry on with it's regular schedule.....
