If you were to do a Top 10 list of the things you love about Cullen, what would make that list?

Ok, I don't have ten.  Will six do?

 

1.       His humanity – he is a flawed person who is still dedicated to doing what he believes to be the right thing, not for himself but for everyone

 

2.       His faith – for me, his belief in something bigger than himself and his own little piece of the world is admirable on a basic level

 

3.       His humility – he does not brag or try to portray himself as something he is not, and he seems to have comfortable acceptance of his true place in the scheme of things

 

4.       His confidence – he does not shy away from taking care of business, even if that business happens to be a demon

 

5.       His voice – no explanation needed

 

6.       His H-O-T-ness – okay, yeah, I admit it, he’s one HOT bundle of pixels

And to everyone else: as usual, let's keep it on topic (which I think we've done a fairly excellent job of doing of late, so not sure what this warning pertains to).

If you were to do a Top 10 list of the things you love about Cullen, what would make that list?

I love him unconditionally so I can't make a decent list, but I'll try.
1. His incredible strength of spirit. He is the only one who survived Uldred's rebellion. And he wasn't even prepared, he didn’t even know what an abomination looked like. After DotS I think he has the qualities of a Seeker.
2. His adorable politeness
3. His faith. I like how natural it is for him
4. His restraint. I appreciate that he was trying not to cause my Amell any trouble with his feelings for her.
5. Greg Ellis' voice acting.
6. His sincerity.
7. Courage. Arguing with Greagoir, standing up against Meredith, risking his life, his career, his sanity.
8. The way he writes letters
9. His lovely pointy nose!!!!! In DAO. And a mole.
10. He's Fereldan

While I think everything's cleared up and we don't need to discuss it any more... that latter concept is explicitly the thing he was warning us about.

 

On the topic of the hour, I like Cullen because his story arc was so sad in DAO and then we got to see him slowly get himself back in DA2, and because his fundamentally gentle nature is at odds with his surroundings and circumstance. He's not physically my type, and his voice didn't immediately strike me in the way that, say, Raphael Sbarge's did, but his looks and voice have both grown on me (and after his writers, his VA is a major part of why his dramatic arc has been so moving).

I don't think I have a top ten for Cullen...what made me like him was how awkward he was with Surana/Amell. Awkward is cute! *cough* Garrus *cough*

Top 10 Things I Like About Cullen: 1 He is loyal. A true Knight of Andraste. 2 He is compassionate. His decisions throughout Dragon Age proves he has a loving soul. 3 He is honorable. This is proven when he defies Meredith and knows when something is being taken too far. 4 He is broken. Even though he was totured and broken by demons he has obviously tried to overcome. 5 He has a heart of gold. His crowning glory. This is what allows him to show compassion and honor, even if he struggles with the lines between right and wrong. 6 He shows restraint. He doesn't rush into situations brandishing his blade. (naughty thought, naughty thought) Ehem. To be serious though he thinks before he acts. Example is Wilmod's interrogation. 7 He is passionate. When he believes strongly in someting it shows. It is in his voice, his eyes, and body language. 8 He is endearing. All the traits mentioned above prove this. No matter his inner demons he strives to perform his duty as a Knight with integrity, honor, and compassion. 9 He is beautiful. Inner beauty is a rare trait, and the outside is enhanced by the way he carries himself mentally and physically. 10 His looks aside; his personality, including all the above mentioned traits, makes him Sexy in my eyes and draws me to his character physically and emotionally.
