Btw what do we know about cutscenes so far? Are they going for a more cinematic experience (sort of like in ME3) or returning to the DAO way? I hope the advisors get proper cutscenes too. I want to get to talk to Cullen in different locations and for him to do more than just stand around the keep in his "spot", waiting for us to come and talk to him. How much do you think we'll get to see him outside the keep?

The trailer was showing actual gameplay, including the cut scenes, and they looked pretty cinematic. I hope there will be good balance between the cut scenes and the action, and I hope I can pause during them.

I hope Cullen will get some action time. I hope we will see him in different places all over Skyhold: in the war room, in the stables, checking on his horse, or in the hall, chatting and drinking with other companions after the mission. And I hope he will be in our camps too. I don't think our army will go anywhere without our general.  

And secretly I'm still hoping he will be a companion, and weapons in the trailer were removed by the devs just for lulz Because I want to drag him everywhere with me And I want him to be my #1 tank.

I would love to see Cullen outside the keep as well JediBeagle! I hope that he may join us at the mini-campsites when we confront the Red Templars perhaps, or another quest line that fits with his background well. Otherwise, if he stays at the keep mostly I would at least like him to move around some within the keep and maybe even start sharing the Quizzy's bedroom if they are romantically involved

I hadn't thought about the possibilities with the camps. It would make sense for our advisors to follow us around instead of us always running back to them. All though if Skyhold is our main base then I suppose it would be logical for them to remain there. But maybe you're right and the fact that he is a military leader and advisor makes him important enough to keep around at all times.

 

And yes like obsessedwjpn pointed out it would be great if a romanced Cullen could share rooms with the Inquisitor! I also wonder if there's any chance we might be able to take him to a ball :B I've been hoping for a chance to take our LI with us to some social event ever since I saw that ballroom in the trailer. Sort of like in the ME3 Citadel DLC. I wonder what he would look dressed up for the occasion!

Seeing that GE could actually read my fic (which is, of course, responding to the theme of "raunchy"......), and also now that devs are aware of our little thread and our little celebrations and could read it... I'm not sure what to do. Hmm. Hmmm. I'm actually thinking about removing all links to my fiction in my sig lol *crisis mode* Does anyone ever feel like their real life is getting a little too close to their fanfic-writing life?

Aw, don't be embarrassed. As you know, I totally sympathize with any scary crossovers between real and fan life, but no one from work will be coming to the Page 1000 celebration. Those are a lot of dots to connect. If someone wants to go to the effort, then good on 'em and be flattered!

I think it's safe to say he won't wear a mask. Evangeline didn't wear a mask at that fancy party Celene organized in Justinia's honor, and Bann Teagan didn't wear a mask in TME, because he was Fereldan. And Cullen is both a military and Chantry man, like Evangeline, and a Fereldan, like Teagan, so he will probably put on his shiny armor and pretends he's our bodyguard, to avoid both painting his face and having any conversations with other guests, because I imagine someone like him would feel uncomfortable at such gatherings.

 

I really love the idea of him moving into Inquisitor's quarters. I hope we will be finding his things here and there. "This is Cullen's old shield. Looks Fereldan. Must have been with him from the start." "Cullen's book. Mostly Chantry nonsense. I'm not burning it just because he likes it for some reason." "This is where Cullen keeps his clothes. What's funny is that if we're really going to an Orlesian ball in DAI my Inquisitor will make a complete ****** of herself given the option, simply because that's exactly what I'd do... especially if I've been drinking. Gotta keep my Inquisitor in-character if she's supposed to be me!

Even if I was Orlesian I'm not into all that foofy "game" stuff, so I guess I'd be much like Aveline, Evangeline and Cassandra in that I'd totally shun it, lol. Given that the voice options are British or American I'm gonna assume that we're at least not native Orlesian.

True. I have no love for the Game, though I'm excited to see it in DAI. And yeah, I agree that we aren't ethnically Orlesian. I think the humans will be nobles, with human mages being apostates hidden by their families similar to Lienne de Montsimmard.
