My hope is that Cullen is serious, but a little awkward when out of his depths. (Non-official conversations, perhaps. Talking to Inquisitors who... inquire after hours.) I hope his romance had some sweetness to it, though.

Yes, stuttering! 
Ahhhh. First person-anything is something I am still very bad at. I just... I feel like I can see LESS, even though I guess you're supposed to feel like you can see MORE in first person? And then someone ends up sneaking up behind me, hitting/shooting me, and when I spin around to face him I overcompensate and spin too far. So basically I end up dancing in a circle while a bemused enemy keeps pummeling me.
And this is from someone who is otherwise very comfortable with controllers!!
OMG, you just gave me a flashback to how hard I sucked at ME, and how terrifying it was that I couldn't finish off the husks when they were far away and so next thing I knew... they were right on top of me. *hyperventilates* and I couldn't, you know, punch them or something. Man. I'm SO bad at shooters.

The mention of funny party banter being back in DAI, with party members teasing LI's about their relationship with the Inquisitor gives me further hope, along with my personal belief that the Devs would figure that most non-ravenous-stalk-the-forums-and-ALL-THE-NEWS-THINGS-FOR-ALL-THE-SPECULATIONS-THINGS fans (I call US that lovingly, including myself in the category since, you know, I'm here!
) of Dragon Age would from experience equate LI with Companion... but without clarification and so many forumites seeming positive they may implement NPC romances, I'm all unsure...

upgrating the computer can get pretty expensive tho like Ive upgrated mine form last year just so I get get denect renders and that costed me about $2000 but yea onece you do a full upgreat you should be good for atleast 4 years or so (if your on a desktop)

That is cute! I think it's more of a stammer because he's nervous! I don't think he actually has a stutter.
I used to stammer really bad as a kid and still do on occasion when I'm excited enough.
Cullen has always stuck me as a serious person. I suppose I think of him as serious, dedicated and forthright. I really liked the conversation you have with him after he's been tortured by Uldred and co where you can say to him
'I bet you're embarrassed about saying all those things about me' and he basically responds by putting you right in your place and letting you know that he doesn't give a rats what you think in the circumstances.
He might be a little awkward romantically but he's really quite strong about who he is and what he's doing. At least that's how I imagine him and I can't wait to meet him in Inquisition and see what he's REALLY like.

Well seeing as they have not confirmed any form of NPC romance nor advisors, my instinct tells me companion before NPC unless they decided to change the mechanics and address those changes to us. *bashfully shuffles feet*

More seriously, even if Cullen isn't a companion in the main game, I'd be willing to bet that he joins the party for a dlc adventure at some point. Wrex did it in the Citadel dlc. Aria did it, Liaria did it in Lair of the Shadow Broker. Tallis jumped from live action to the game-verse for a dlc adventure.
