I think you are right. ME2 DOS NOT support single core processors. According to shop's forum, people, who had more than 2 cores are already playing and the ones with single core are sitting like the pigeons of peace and b*tching about their old hardware.

I have exactly the same problem.

There is code displayed when it staggers, but it only takes 1-2 seconds, then it is not responsive.



My specs:

Gigabyte 8I865P-G

1 GB ram (dual channel)

ATI Sapphire HD 3450 AGP 8x

Hard drive 160 gb

Intel Celeron D 3.06 Gb

400 Wat power supply box



Will you fix this problem for me with a patch, because I don't intend to buy a new computer yet, I would rather wait a few months, because I know it will pay off.

P.S.: I have legal copy, but if this problem won't be corrected, I will simply return the game to the retail store.

thats exactly as Rinken says it doesnt matter where and when. If you dont know the solution or you dont have this problem its nothing you can help us with. Just dont flood this topic with unimportant information.

Developers you can't ignore users with siggle core processors. 26 January you need to make patch or fix to resolve this problem. Because Demo of14gb was dissapointing because i can't play it. If this problem will be in official release people don't will not buy license copy of game.

Honestly I have no sympathy. Most PC gamers have achieved dual core by now. I'm stating that realistically this could end up as an unsolved issue and everyone will just have to upgrade their CPU. Dual core has been available for 5 years and quad core processors are less than $100 now. Either keep up with the times or switch to a 360.

Dont forget that in order to install multicore CPU u must have appropriate motherboard which is also costs some green American presidents. And along with the motherboard u will have to buy new computer box, new power supply.  All that stuff will cost around 300-400$  Not 100$, pal.

I take that to mean you're using socket 754. I don't see what big of a deal it is to maintain a gaming computer if that's going to be one's hobby. It's 2010, again, no sympathies if people haven't yet made the PCI-E switch. Newegg has combo deals that make dual core easy to achieve: /Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.316250 Of course all the other compatible bits would be needed coming from a 5 year old system. This is where you decide if you're going to stay a PC gamer or spend less and get an xbox which plays the same games. That's how I see it.

Game has lags. All movies in the game need to convert in lover bitrate to work properly.

Actually, the screenshot linked above and AzureFireicesearinox's description seem to point to dual core processors as well.

Hi, I badly talk on English but will make attempt explain the problem. I have single core processor and problems with loading. When I run the game and select new game -> male (or female), a game is loaded and after 3-5 seconds loading is stop. I think problem in processor, because when I look at the percents of use memory and CPU, index of loading of processor = 2-8%. I was able to overcome the first loading and even to play but later after the choice of appearance and profession all hung up again. I think that a game simply transfers a processor in a camp-on and on it droops. Please fix this problem.
