Heylo errybody! :D

I was thinking how odd it is that I can't preoder Dragon Age: Inquisition anywhere! Most game developers have their games ready for pre-order even a year before the game comes out. I've only been playing Bioware games since a few months before ME3 came out, so do they do this often? If they readied up pre-ordering I'd be happy to give them my money now! hahahah

Not true. My local retailer has been taking DAI preorders since last summer.

Meh. Bioware has taught me that preordering is bad through negative reinforcement. A lesson I thank them for. (I mean that sincerely, not snarky.)

I don't think I'll ever preorder a game again unless the physical goods are tempting enough. The industry just has too many shady practices for me to risk preordering anymore. Thinking about it is depressing me a bit actually.

I only pre order just so I know I have a copy secure and just so when they have a collector edition that I might be interested, I just upgrade easily especially if they are limited,(since where i live new games with collector edition and sold very quickly if they are famous games) and should the game not sound interesting anymore or I change my mind for any reason I can simply cancel it and get my money back at anytime. So pre ordering doesnt bother me. Also the small "pre order bonuses dont bother me either, I think its a fair reward for those who have patiently waited and supported the game by pre ordering helping the companies determine a estimate on how many people will get the game.

I'm thinking about pre-ordering too, but if they don't offer it already then they must not be sure when they release the game.

I heard one of the devs had said a pre-order date/release date would be announced before E3, can't remember where though.

Pre-order dates are up to individual retailers.

So did I. As I said in my earlier post, my local retailer has had DAI available for preorders for months now.

Why in such a hurry to pre-order? I mean even if you for some reason you still trust Bioware and especially the Dragon Age team to put out a quality product enough to be willing to pre-order no special editions have been announced yet and no pre-order initiatives have been announced yet to give you any reason to pre-order the game.

Yeah, about that....

Technically that is a special edition that could be picked up after release even without a pre-order, provided your retailer still had them in stock I guess.

Well, I think Gamestop has stopped taking preorders until they absolutely are sure of release dates. Probably got tired of the "had a Duke Nukem and Zelda order for two years" delays happening over and over.

Well, even if your retailer was accepting pre-orders, it wouldn't mean anything. The game itself doesn't have a release date.

I hope that a pre-order bonus would be something like Bioshock Inifnite's season pass, buying all those bioware points for DLC's gets expensive...

Even without a release date we can still pre-order like on Amazon, and apparently other places like EB Games.

I'll probably pre-order it but I'm defiantly waiting for its release date to be announced first. I'm thinking of going to a midnight release for it.

Any retailer taking "pre-orders" at the moment is just keeping a list (maybe in a spiral notebook) behind the counter.

There is, as yet, no mechanism for submitting such orders anywhere.
