Does anyone know of a mod which allows you to wear alliance marine armour with helmet and/or beret? seen here:

 http://img2.wikia.no...C-Trailer_3.jpg

or any way you can paint the n7 armour too look like that?  I'm pretty sure you can only get it to look like that with a mod any info on a mod that makes this buy-able in game is much appreciated.

I could only do it with the N7 mix and match armour pieces, Head: N7 Breather Helmet Chest: Ariake Technologies. Shoulders: Rosenkov Materials or Ariake Technologies Arms: Ariake Technologies or N7 Gauntlets (I may be wrong on these as I have struggled to decide) Legs: Rosenkov Materials or Ariake Technologies The Ariake Technologies seem to be the best bet to copy the Alliance Marine armour. Colour scheme: You'll need to go through the darker colour scheme at the bottom of the colour list (Its a navy blue colour). You can either make your armour shiny if you want it to look new or make it look more gritty and worn. Blue lights for the back of Shepard and any other parts that emit light. I have done this and feel mostly satisfied with the armour.

You could try out this mod:

http://www.moddb.com...her-of-all-mods

The Armor Only branch of the mod opens up every casual outfit seen in the game prior to the Omega DLC release, as well as mix and match armors.

I tried it once before and it didn't work so I gave up, heh. Maybe if I read the instructions more carefully this time...

wow this is confusing, can only find alliance code for full set for casual wear can't have it as armour so unless anyone knows how to code the file to get it as seperate armour pieces or a full set with beret and a full set with n7 breather helmet I don't think i will risk messing my game up and getting band lol

or if someone knows of a mod that someone has already made That gives you ONLY the alliance armour and nothing else with beret/helmet.

This is a false assumption. You can add these armor pieces and use them in combat as long as you also assign armor bonuses to them (+5% Shields, for example) and put them in the appropriate place in your Coalesced.bin. It's all explained in that blog quite clearly. It does take a bit of time to go through because there's a lot of information, but it's the only way to do what you want.

For example, that heavy Alliance armor, you would go to BioGame.ini, SFXGame, SFXPlayerCustomization, TorsoAppearances, and on the right column you would go to whatever blank line is available (or add a new one) and put in the following code:

Spoiler

Note that the power damage bonus is just there for this example. You can change that to any other bonus or even give the armor ALL the bonuses. Whatever you want. Anyway, once you've done that, you just save the file, fire up the game and then go into the armory (shuttle bay or the cabin) and browse the torso armors -- that's the chest pieces. Your new armor should appear there, ready for combat.

Going back to the "it can only be used as a casual appearance" -- if you know the model for a casual appearance, even those can be used in combat if you add them into the TorsoAppearances section and give them armor bonuses. Want femShep to wear a skirt into battle? Go for it. It can be done, you just need to read that blog and learn how. It might seem overwhelming at first, but once you've done it a few times, it's really pretty easy to do.

Don't give up.

EDIT: Just wanted to add a quick note here. I was assuming you had an editor ready to go, but since you're obviously new to modding, it occurs to me you probably don't have one. You can grab an easy-to-use Coalesced editor here: http://wenchy.net/me...lesced-utility/ - This is required to open your Coalesced.bin and edit it without corrupting the file.

Norton spiked that as malware. It identified something very specific in there. The Gibbed and Coalesced utilities were OK, though.

Norton is a prick of an antivirus. Consider switching.

For one, you need to change the Id=0 to any number not already being used. If you look at the list of other entries, you'll notice that they go in order (Id=0, Id=1, Id=2, etc.). So find whichever would come next and use that, Id=3 for example. Also, I don't see a mesh there, just the armor bonus, without one that piece of armor will be invisible on your body. As for hair sticking out, I think you have to use one of the "bald" hair styles. I don't know for sure though as I've never used the beret myself.

You have to add "bHideHair=True" (without the quotes) right after the mesh to avoid the clipping, so for example:

Mesh=(Male="biog_hmm_hgr_shp_r.FBDh.HMM_HGR_FBDh_MDL",
Female="BIOG_HMF_HGR_SHP_R.FBDh.HMF_HGR_FBDh_MDL",bHasBreather=True,bHideHair=True,bHideHead=True),
Id=12,Type=CustomizableType_Helmet)

Don't ask me if it works though, I still haven't gotten the beret to show up at all :blush:

(Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_HIR_PRO_R.Hat_Beret.HMM_HAT_Brt_MDL",Female="Biog_HMF_HIR_PRO.Hat_Beret.HMF_HAT_Brt_MDL",bHideHair=True),GameEffects=("ConstraintDamageBonus"),Id=26,Name=335169,Description=335469,PlotFlag=-1,Type=CustomizableType_Helmet)

This is the beret code I have used but my hair still pokes out the front when I am customizing my armour how ever the armour seems to work fine any ideas?
