The claymore is a formality, As long as you have the omniblade the gun itself does not matter
Tips,
Sprint melee causes instant rage on one kill, regardless of fitness
All his melees have aoe and can hit 3-4 targets each
Don't engage bosses without rage,, and avoid engaging sync killers without proper knowledge of how to kill them safely
EH is great, but I don't spec it because it's not very good at less than 5 ranks, and has terrible order of priority, BH fits my style better.
SGOB > pistol melee stunner + power amp, regardless of what you are doing
Don't use the hammer on small things, it is slow and inefficient, use sprint melee or headbutt
Light melee combo > heavy melee when time isn't a factor
Shoot the space crabs, they aren't worth meleeing, as doing so safely takes a lot of effort, so bring a decent gun (*cough*claymore
)
The only ranged enemies that are threatening on their own are atlases, primes, and scions, convince them to not shoot you
Praetorians, banshees, brutes and phantoms can ruin your day if they spend too much time near you, recommend headshots.
Killing hordes of lesser foes saves more time than methodically killing a few bosses, SMASH THE LITTLE ONES
Economy of motion is something you want to develop, as smashing 3 enemies to death at once is far better than doing it one at a time
His base heavy melee has a nice amount of homing to it, you can lock on to enemies at a slight distance and he will close the gap during the animation, excellent against phantoms
Ravagers, Scions, and Primes suck at melee, beat them to death, beware the scion's sync kill
He isn't designed to be the best character, obligatory GI, but he has a fun and powerful play style, and can bring hours of enjoyment or pain, it depends on you

I like the GPS on him, and find it synergizes well with his melee/power combo. Plus,as a KroLord, I rarely us my gun for much other than priming targets, or finishing them off, so the GPS fits that bill nicely. It also serves as a convenient long-range weapon for hacks, or when Banshees are getting frisky.

Use the real Krogan Sentinel instead.

Claymore, Skip Electrial Hammer and go full melee... Graal or Wraith are acceptable weapon choices too.
If you do not like the lack of mobility (jump over cover) than take the old school Krogan Sentinal (Same weapon choices).

pick whatever hammer you like more, skip the other, max everything else for power damage and get melee TA, reegar so boss shields/guardians are nothing
I hate this kit.

Max one hammer, max melee damage, equip a venom and have fun

Use a crusader. It gives the krolord a ranged gun, to which you can stick a melee blade.

Use ammo and a weapon that can quickly deplete boss shields.. this is why a lot of people like the Reegar on him. Biotic hammer decimates boss armor.. almost one shots it at times.. but getting to the armor is the trick. You can melee mooks exclusively.. you just gotta solve the boss puzzle. If you use an incendiary Reegar, you can wipe all the boss shields in one clip.. then hammer/fire explode the armor away with the quickness.
You gotta deal with the bosses quickly because a lot of them can sync kill you.

Falcon works well if you don't have the Venom high enough yet. Stagger, smash! Or maybe try the Javelin for a challenge (I kid).

Out of curiousity, does anyone know if Incendiary Cheese works with Electrical Hammer's Fire Effect?

It does, but only if incendiary ammo is applied after the fire DoT.

If your Venom is only at two, the Graal is almost as good of a choice IMO (and more fitting role-play wise to).
