I play MaleShep now, Femshep can't get with Ashley, and it pained me to see Vega and Ash trying to hook up. I wasn't going to stand for that crap! Did FemShep for my first ME1-3 playthrough.
Males playing Female Characters, FemShep (is it weird?)

For almost 7 years I have played MMO's and for ten or more, games on my system and playing both genders is not weird. It doesn't mean you're gay or strange in my opinion it simply means you want to enjoy the game to it's fullest. Look I have a young daughter that plays soccer and she has a shirt I bought her. It says, Yes I'm A Girl, Yes I'm an Athlete and Yes I will Kick Your But! Gamers lighten up and play what ever you want, If you were to play a Turian does that mean you're weird? Enjoy life is short!

Nope, not wrong.
For example, look at me. No, you can't look at me, there is a whole world out there and 6 billion people. You'll never find me...
I played all those years as a MaleShep. Then, got tired of the same repetition, same romances and such, and decided to try out as a FemShep, with new romances options and lines available for me, it looks like a new game.

Back in the day when games were mostly text and the PC never was voiced I did play as a male character mostly. Now days with games being fully voiced I do play as a female more though that is pretty much limited to the mass effect series, DA2, Elder Scrolls. The older games I was able to put my own identity on the PC but with them voiced it is more like watching a movie that I can control. Plus Jennifer Hale enough said although Mark Meer did a great job in ME3.
I can't claim to have played every game so I am sure there are more than I am thinking of but the games that allow the PC to be female also have the option of being male. That is not the case the other way around. Tomb Raider, FF13 Lighting Returns, WET, Dark Kingdom, and another I am forgetting are the only games I have played were the PC is strictly a female. IMO there is still that fear out there that a game will not sell well if the character we can play as is a women. I would be curious what BW thinks on that subject but I know they will never answer that here.

I don't see a problem. I first set out to play ME as FemShep, and have only played MaleShep every now and then. I play a lot of female characters in a lot of other games as well more than the men.

If someone is calling you weird and gay for this, then you're probably surrounded by immature people.
Take hope in the fact that by your 30s, people grow up and don't make such a big deal about meaningless things.
OK, that's not entirely true. lol. They make a big deal about other meaningless things. Just not this one. I think?

No, of course not. It's not weird. It was player's decision so we have to respect him. Some male players decide to romance male or female squad member. So, no worries. That's all. ![]()
