Just a quick note of appreciation - say what you will about character models, textures, and so on, but I do really like to occasionally just pause and look at how detailed and beautifully done some of the areas are on the ceilings and upper areas... I spend most of the game at either over-soulder view or top-down, but it is really nice just to check out the "other" views every now and then too!

yes they definitely did an excellent job "fleshing out" the architecture.

Grand views.

My personal favorate is the Andraste Temple in the Sacred Ashes quest, a really brilliant looking bit of architecture with the sun poking through and the snow slowly taking over.

Orzammar is a richly created area also, I do appreciate the detail the Devs put into all the areas..

Orzammar is gorgeous. And seeing all the straight, rigid architecture really lets you know you're in a whole other culture. I just can't imagine how a design team can think 3 dimensionally enough to create such a thing.

If you get bored, download the free toolset, and just open up some of the maps to take a look at how intricate they are. The toolset lets you zoom and shift around. It gives you an idea of the 'big picture' of the place. For example, I had no idea how nice Redcliff's design was 'til I saw it in full.
