Agreed, but I still don't do it.  Camping the Extraction Zone is generally such a bad idea that I don't want any pugs to think it's an acceptable strategy.  I'm to be found hanging around the box of shame, doing as little as possible, like I do on most large maps - Giant included, for the same reason - until the 30 second mark.  If the pugs have been at the EZ I'll have a missile ready, but ideally everyone is more or less together and we can leave the enemies behind on that side of the map.

To be honest though, I generally don't care if I don't extract. The way I see it, if you can't go all out and have fun on extraction then when can you?

Meh, I'll step over every dead pug and waltz into the LZ if I have to. Ain't nobody gonna take my extract bonus away from me.

This is what I do too.  It doesn't matter what they want to do at that point, if they want to camp the LZ, run to the middle of the map and shoot stuff, or sit at the other end, etc.  Sometimes, I can sit on that spawn point and do pretty much nothing for the entire extraction wave.

 

Yeah.  You can sometimes end up seeing 0 enemies if the rest of the team is over on the other end.

Really the only thing bad about trying to block this spawn is if you are slightly late you will get a clump dropped on your head.  This is more of an issue off host of course.

Yeah, it's soooo much safer to the LZ if the praetorian is grabbing one of the others.  As the old saying goes, you don't have to out-run the bear, you just have to out-run the slower guy.

Haha and foolish people who run to the LZ make the best distractions. You keep up the good fight guys, I'll just take a breather over here!

I'd go where to where there are enough grenades for me to chuck during extraction.

Depends on the team. Usually I hang around the Box Of Shame, but if we have enough dps, we go to the other side of the map and camp near the LZ (preventing a troll spawn).

Usually start at opposite end from LZ then run for fun at about 30 seconds to go. Works best if at least one person joins me. If no one does can get awfully messy.

The complete opposite end of the map from the LZ there is a container with an ammo box in it.

It has a little nook where rats and such can hide and not get snyced.

It is called the box of shame for self evident reasons

The center area is an awful place, you can get surrounded by four different paths and get shot across the map by everything. Never understood why most people stay here.

As for extraction wave i also usually hang around the area around the box. Whenever PUGs decide to go somewhere else and it's not a too stupid place to be i may follow them or not.
