Don't have a custom one. Always used Sheploo. But if I were to use a custom one, it'd probably be a variant of the second maleshep I linked.

I don't how it happened but I managed to create a decent looking male Shep in ME3. 

 

This is Kyle Shepard, a Renegade Vanguard. He's an import from ME2 with a few tweaks but not modded, except for the eye colour. I find the emerald green that Bioware provides is too flashy, to the point of looking unnatural.

She gained rank as she moved along to join the N7 program at age 24 around that time she made the rank commander.

Don't know what look you are going for? I also tweaked her skin and eye colour a bit in gibbed as she is too pale (so you might want to change the skin tone in the editor).

I'll give it a look right now on ME2. Might be worth starting over since the only stuff I've really done is just Prologue and Stolen Memories

 

EDIT: Just pushed in the code on ME2 and it looks she looks like a man in drag, which is a bit disappointing since I thought I could try and get past that with some help. Lemme see about what I can do about taking a pic with my phone to get a shot of Yuuhi the way she is now in 2.

Ok, what'll do is load up ME2, use your face code to crate a save then lazarus it in to 3, and see what comes out - but that'll have to wait until tomorrow as it's 01:18 here

Aint a problem and I'll probably end up keeping this face. Its not as bad as it could be, and I could live with playing through once or twice on ME2 before moving on.

Looks great in 3, but that reverse-import back into 2 just reminded me how painfully off the import system was for ME.

 

Only thing off I see is the chin being a little too square, but that doesnt really hurt much in a direct import to 3 and easily fixable. Thanks for all the work you put in on this.

For my first playthrough (and the one I will end up considering my "real" ones while the following would be just curiosity attempts) I decided to go with a female because... well, I felt having a male badass space commander would feel like "been there, done that", while a female one would feel much more unique.

 

So, Elena Shepard, Infiltrator, Colonist, Sole Survivor, Paragade:

 

ME1 (romanced Kaidan):

 

ME2 (romanced Thane):

 

ME3 (no romance/loyal to Thane): Had to make the face from scratch since the code didn't really match the face I used. While doing that, decided that Elena wouldn't have her hair died in the third game because that color looks terrible in ME3 she wouldn't have time for that while being imprisoned by the alliance:
