This was from my last trilogy playrtough. Only have this shots, since I formated my pc and lost the others.

 

 

Used a skin mod for the third game, since the vanila one makes characters look way too old. Also changed the colors with gibbed save editor. Didin't use hair mods since there was actually very few male ones wen I last played, and most of them had transparency issues. But I changed the hair in 3 anyway, since is the only one that actually looks good in the CC. I really like the way he carried over trough the games, the changes I had to do were minimal.

Finally thought about putting together my current Femshep. Had to recreate her for ME3 as the import did not work at all Sorry for the bad quality, for ME1 and 2 I still had to take pictures with my camera of the TV screen, haha.

I took some time recreating some of my older Shepard in ME3's CC. Its strange that they all shared similar face code with some minor tweaks, different hair styles, they all look very different from one another.

 

upper : Shierra2>Andraste3>Aoife1

With Shierra, I didn't realize that I made an alternate version of default Femshep.

I do think she looks natural in-game and way better than the actual default. She animates well too (despite some slight clipping with the hair) but I'm quite indifferent with her. If you think you can give her a better home in your game, this is her.

And in the past few months, I found a way to play my canon Shepard with consistent features. The skin tone tend to vary depending on lighting but I'm happy that it is her.

Alright so I figured I didn't want to play a white Shepard for once, because I had the discussion with my boyfriend about how he plays females in videogames, because until a few years ago, you just didn't have a choice, and now that you do, he likes to use that freedom of choice. So I figured, ok I happen to have a choice of being a girl - cool! - but why does the hero of my saga have to be a white girl? So I can identify with her? Lame reason. Anyway, eversince I went with my Shepard's look, I get super confused when I turn on tv, because, well, have you been watching tv lately? not many non-white people there. It's creepy. 

 

I was a little sad that there wasn't an automatically given screenshot of that group picture, but here we go, my shepard:

Well was finally able to do a good maleshep

 

He is a paragade, (because I do not like being good/evil guy, like following instincts rather than that path), figured going for a more normal look, but not too...photomodelish...

I only started to play Mass Effect a couple of weeks ago and played all three titles one after another (and only with two DLCs, "Arrival" and "Citadel"), with a FemShep - only had screenshots from part 1 and part 3:

 

 

And after finishing I couldn't stop playing so I started a new run-through :-p With a male Shep this time (and all Story-DLCs for all three parts):

 

 

While the import of my femShep in ME 3 was no problem, my male Shep looked totally different, similar to Fantastic Fantasy's one:

 

 

That was a lot of work to make him look right again :-p

Some really nice-looking sheps on these pages, especially femmes, even though these often rely on mods. Thanks for the show, everyone!

Here's my alternatives in ME3.

Ma´heoan'e - Medicine Woman - a lady with Cheyenne blood in her veins:


Will take her for another ride from the start in ME1 slightly corrected in some facial areas.

Eirween Braith Shepard - a resourceful engineer with Welsh father and Swedish mother:


Came all the way from ME1. Some people might think she looks better in ME3, but I prefer her "cooler" and "more intellectual" ("Ice Queen") appearance in the older games.

And my main character - Mean Gene - who I find more convincing in the role as Shepard than default John:


First transfer to ME3 reminded me of the story "Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde". But after a couple of adjustments, he came out OK, with respect to his looks in ME1 and ME2.

I really hope that if MEA is the start of a new series they make sure custom made characters transfer better from game to game.

Last thing that might be interesting to see is my one and so far only experiment with facial mods. Ginger Raine Shepard - a woman with roots in French aristocracy:


Never taken her past the beginnings of ME1, as the femshep texture by CDJAMJC used will not transfer to ME2 etc. Fear the change would be too big for me to maintain interest for her. But it's fun to see what mods can do.

For some reason, my favorite shots of Shepard are when she's in close proximity to Traynor. Maybe it's a sign.

 

 

 

But there's also the come hither stare shot if you start a romance with Garrus. I had to try the dialogue out just to see what she'd look like.

Huh, now that I look at it, the imports were pretty consistent across the series. 2 and 3 just went one notch lighter on skin tone. Wish I could have kept the scar from ME1. I like to think that Shep got that on Torfan.
