So currently I'm @ PAX and I just heard with my own ears that a character from Asunder will be in Inquisition!
I'm really hoping it's Evangeline, or Rhys! Or even Shale but im not sure if that would count.
Could they just mean the Divine?
Anyway, who do you think it'll be?

Personally I'd want all major characters to show up like Rhys, Evangeline, Fiona, Cole, and (ugh) Adrian
They seem relevant to one of the arcs

I would love to see Evangeline or Rhys but not Cole. He was an interesting character but very problematic.

I forgot about Fiona. She would be ideal. I really want this woman to confirm to me who her son is. It is driving me crazy.

Depends on if they'll be a companion or not. If not then pretty much every character from that book is valid.

Did they specify that it will just be "a character" from Asunder? It surprises me they're limiting it to one.
If it is just one, and assuming they mean characters introduced in Asunder, thus disqualifying Justina and Fiona, then my money'll be on Cole. Rhys, Evangeline, and Adrian would all work best if included together. Out of the four of them, Cole would work best on his own.

I hope they're only teasing and mentioning only one for now, otherwise that seems like a waste

I hope so too, they could do so much if they included at least one more. The panel is already over

Then yea, I'm going to put my money on Cole.
I'm also not expecting Fiona or Justina to be included when they talk about "characters from Asunder" any more than I'd expect Leliana to be counted as a character from Asunder, so we still might see them.

Yea, they'll most likely show up regardless
But Rhys and Evangeline should show up too if the mage/templar arc is gonna be in the game

I don't disagree.
But I don't think Rhys should show up without Evangeline, or vise versa, nor do I think Adrian should show up without Rhys in the game.
Cole showing up on his own is fine as he can relate more to the fade tears and demon invasion than to the mage/templar conflict.
I'd like all four to be involved, but if we're only getting one, Cole works the best.

If they don't then I assume the Mage/Templar arc won't be as important as the rest of the story
I don't mean it should be important, but characters relevant to the arc should still show up

People should take note that most of the characters from Asunder moved to Andoral's Reach that ended up sieged by Templars. It is technically in Nevarran territory going by the map and lore (i.e. Blasted Hills belong to Nevarra) and we aren't going to Nevarra in DAI.

Rhys and Evangeline shouldn't be separated

That is true, and it does play into my theory that the mage/templar conflict isn't gonna be resolved in DA:I, only stopped for a time being

I'm starting to think that the mage/templar war isn't really going to be a war, only chaos without any leadership on either side of the equation.

I'm hoping for it to be resolved in DA:I but that's looking like less & less of a possibility

I think they are talking about Cole, but not as a companion, he might appear in some capacity in DA:I to me.
But it would be nice to see important characters like Fiona, Rhys, Evangeline, etc etc, I agree.
