Pfft i'd commit a purge of an Aliengage for a coat.
I'd toss razing Dalish camps in for free even.
really need to layoff the lyrium buddy
...That and I obviously really like him and it's all totally wish fulfillment along side that logic blurgh, and they toss in the 40 year old firey brat of a mage Adrian. And if she was there, and presented like she is in the book, I'm going to have to throw her into a dragon.
I think you could very well be correct, Cole is fitting more and more into the possibility of a companion.
and also I liked this bit about Adrian lmfao
And I actually think that the Mage-Templar conflict could play a significant role in the story if we go to Andoral's Reach. From the way the novel ended, the templars and seekers seemed to be on the verge of marching there and Lambert was prepared to 'starve them out'. Considering it's literally every important mage in Thedas gathered in one location, I could see why the Inquisiton would take an interest. I'm assuming that Inquisition starts soon after Asunder/TME end so it wouldn't be so improbable that the siege would still be ongoing. That would be a major choice for the Inquisition. I'm going to assume a large portion of the templars and seekers that didn't suddenly decide to go loony with red lyrium are taking part in the siege and they'd be a sizable boost to the Inquisition's forces. On the other hand, the help of the most powerful mortal mages in Thedas would be equally as useful. Something tells me a lot of people that read Asunder would side with the mages.
I really hope you're right.
I only doubt it because it's such a big problem, huge even, and with the greater threat at hand, who knows how much time we'll have to rectify something of that magnitude.
i think they changed their minds half way through development and decided to focus more on the orlesian civil war and not the mage templar thing... they might touch on it, but to resolve it, i see it happening in another game
I think it was always in their mind that the mage-templar war wasn't going to end in DAI.i think they changed their minds half way through development and decided to focus more on the orlesian civil war and not the mage templar thing... they might touch on it, but to resolve it, i see it happening in another game

Regardless, I don't think they'll 'focus' on the OCW. It's a main plot as the mage-templar war.
Yeah, similar to DA:O
That was all meant in jest Elu. I wasn't offended.Oh. Well excuuuuuuse, me, sir.
This was from Patrick
Felassan: Elemental and Primal; Lienne: Creation and Entropy; Mihris: Arcane and Spirit (mostly, in all cases)

Lol, I was joking too. It's all good.

Yup, I absolutely loved how they depicted Lienne's hexes by actually making her speak the words.

Don't you have a volcano to fall into, Z?

I think it also helps the book was made in 2011, so if they where going to add a character in there there's less of a chance that it was last minute and the character is integrated in logically and not as an advertisement for the book. Which I have seen other games do with their books (Ugrhh Diablo 3 why do you have lore in the books that are important to know when not everyone reads those stupid things).
If it's not a companion slot and we have been assuming that the whole time then just him appearing for a quest is fine with me. Or even as an NPC scout you can go and send off into the enemy bases or something.
If it's not him I am just setting myself up for disappointment because I have this dumb canon in my head of him being bestest friends with the others and asking so many questions to them as he learns more and more about the world. I don't like this trickle of information about the companions it makes me think to much about possibilities when they hint at thingggsss like the Asunder book characterssss T__T

Honestly after I had finished Asunder, I thought he would be a companion for the next game, myself. We have only two Rogues, one is an Archer and the other uses a Crossbow so I really think he's the next logical choice to fill that gap.

Anyone who gets upset over a joke is going to be upset no matter what

._.
I ain't Albert Wesker...
I'm hoping Cole. All sorts of interesting stuff could come from his inclusion. Also he might have some interesting ideas on the Fade rift.

I definitely think he's the last Rogue companion. The guy with the daggers at the table looks like his description, except he's .... kind of towering.

Pretty sure he's standard human male height. He just happens to be beside a dwarf, an elf, and after that, two human females.

He's bigger than Dorian, and very broad.
Maybe Cole isnt in Cole's Body?
