If she is transsexual, I admit that it'd be quite an accomplishment and I'd be all for it. Especially with the likelihood of her being a romance option.

You know, I first thought "Scribe Girl" was Vivienne from the early concept art
I thought the same thing. They sometimes look so similar in the early art.

Seconded, on both counts.
I also though the use of the word "afraid" was an interesting choice. So, is a well-written transgender character something we should be afraid of all of a sudden? I don't get it.
It might have been that the poster had some apprehension about seeing it done justice, perhaps, given how some players were rubbed the wrong way by Serendipity being treated as a character who was used for "comic effect". I certainly think it would be great for Bioware to include a transgender character.
In any case, I know I'm probably going to find her fascinating no matter what, even if I end up disliking the character's personality in the game. I'm a fan of hers, but that could still happen, no matter how much I might think otherwise right now.
I'm curious as to why Cassandra recruited her. I would imagine she must have stood out above a plethora of other possibilities.

And how hard is it to just said "not happening" BEFORE ?
Because, to be perfectly honest, I complete misread the frustration as being playful - and it's possible other people did too. Part of the issue is my own bias, because as a gamer I don't share the perspective of feeling compelled to know the information in other games that I am following. I went around clicking like on a lot of the posts in this thread as I caught up just to have some fun with the fanbase, only to eventually come up and realize that my doing that likely makes me just seem like a giant ass to some.
David Hulegaard did eventually state that it's not happening. Maybe they started to realize it then?
Note, then, that I take something more seriously and it's seen as surprising that I take things so seriously. But that's because I course corrected as the tone of the thread seemed to be decidedly less fun/playful as it is.
But then we have to reconcile that I'm pretty certain that some of the stuff I saw as fun/playful actually was fun/playful. So if we go all serious, then we're just a buzzkill and those people are left in the balance.

As much as I adore Cassandra, I feel she probably put a lot of thought into Cullen's position, let Leliana do whatever she wanted, and then added a more diplomatic or financial adviser as an afterthought.
I'm going to guess she got lucky or someone recommended Scribbles, because it doesn't seem like an area where Cassandra would know a good candidate from a bad one.

Well, there really wasn't much frustration during the event per se, more giddy expectation. It only turned into frustration when it turned out it wasn't going to happen at all. Some fans were massively disappointed and felt like if Bioware knew they weren't going to reveal her today, they could have said something so that people weren't refreshing the Dragon Age website every 5 seconds for a few hours.
Some have told those people it's their own fault for believing Bioware would release anything, but I feel that's pretty unfair. A lot of people were surprised when she wasn't updated to day, which kind of suggests it wasn't the fantastic delusion of a few diehards leading them astray.

You misunderstood me, I was asking, that, if the marketing isn't ready to show something, why don't they tell the fans before ? It's not like David Hulegaard doesn't talk to fans at all; he did shot down Scribbles reveal, but after everyone waited for 4 hours.
It's like during the Follewer Mondays, everyone wainting for nothing, and just at the last possible moment "sorry not happening".

This is partially why I speculated earlier that Scribbles might be an old friend of Cassandra.
She's only human and not above nepotism.

Hey guys - so... is Scribz not being revealed at all or is she just not being revealed today? I read over some of Allan's comments and replies, but I'm getting a little mixed up and felt it more efficient to simply ask the group.

Not today. Our best estimate, as delivered by The Prophet Hulegaard, is "sooooon."

I've guessed maybe in a couple of weeks, likely after GaymerX ends on the 14th. Trust me though, you're not alone.
