Been a new member of the forums, seeing that Cullen thread was absolutely terrifying and incredibly confusing.

Mainly sexually.

It gets crazy in there sometimes, but that can be said of any big thread. :P

I wonder if Scribbles romance (if applicable) will be somewhat like Traynor's romance. I love Specialist Traynor so much.

Hi all! I'm just popping in to say sorry that you didn't get your Scribbles reveal today. That was me that tweeted David Huulegard asking if she would be revealed. I'm curious about her, too!

One of the things that I noticed is that in the concept arts and such, she looked more Indian (as in from India) than she does in the game engine. And I see a lot of the fan arts have her looking more Indian, also. I think she's quite beautiful and exotic looking.

Anyway, hopefully she'll be revealed tomorrow!

Don't worry, they are generally a nice bunch.  Their numbers are indeed a little scary; according to a tweet released this past weekend, they make up about 30% of the activity on the forums.

Some of the threads are a little more hormone ridden than others.   :)

So, vote yes for Scribbles' hot tub scene ala Traynor? What's a DA version of a hot tub?

I don't think BioWare did anything wrong here. People wound themselves up because they were sure they were going to get a reveal, but no one said that was going to happen today.

My sentiments exactly. It is fair to voice disappointment. What isn't fair is when people start blaming BioWare and misreading tweets, becoming bitter and then just outright rude. It sours everything for everybody else not to mention it snowballs into a massive bandwagon that drives the fun (and the devs) away. Y'all know exactly what situation I'm talking about.

Just have fun being silly with it all and don't take anything to heart. Bitterness breeds on here like two rabbits in a spring burrow.

Hot springs in the snowy mountains.

Natural hot springs are amazing.   :D  Nothing like it that I've ever experienced.  It would make for a nice LI scene for a lot of characters, including our lady.

Oh, some random "let's cheer up music."

For some reason, I can picture Scribbles goofing off to this.

I think the real bitterness began when someone pointed out the bitterness. Not to mention the disappointment literally lasted an hour :P

Um but how would an "actual transexual" (outside serendipity, since she was more of a joke than an actual character) exist in a world were little surgery exists and magic can't really stretch that far?

I know it's a fantasy game and all but there's always a touch of realism.

A person is transgender whether or not they have access to modern surgery and hormones.

If you're asking how someone with a man's body could present themselves a woman, it would depend on the culture and their own personality (some transwomen are tomboys.) Commonly, it's a combination of wearing feminine clothing that demphasizes certain attributes, make-up, removing facial and body hair, and using the vocalizations and body language their society considers feminine.

For example, the drawing of Scribe Girl in your avatar has a scarf around her neck. That would be a simple way for a woman to obscure an Adam's apple.

Interesting, alright thanks for the clarification.

Spoiler

But... will there be tons of monkeys just hanging with them? Kind of awkward moment there if so.

I don't hate transgenders but I'd prefer all female romance options be actual women. Assuming scribbles is an LI.

Ruin it? I don't think so, but it would be a very bold move on Bioware's part to include a transgender romance. Transexuals are hardly ever included in modern media and if they are it's usually for a cheap laugh.

Subjectively speaking, yes it would ruin the romance. Don't take it too personally.

Good Morning Lovely Scribblers! I have another day of bed rest to look forward to and we have the Q&A today! Do you think we might be lucky to get at least her name today? I'm hopeful!

I hope so too, will they choose from the questions posted on the website they tweeted?

Hey, Cullen folks are pretty good, but I think, given that Scribbles is a newbie (and has next to no information about her), 135 pages is good. We can all get along.

NOTE: That was a request for Cullen/Scribbles fanart

In our defence, I don't think it we make up 30% of the forums on a regular basis. Our spike was just due to the excitement of finally seeing a proper picture and getting proper information on one of our favourite characters. Most of us have been waiting for this since DA2 and some even from Origins and it was a great feeling to finally see Cullen and hear what he's been up to and how it's lined up with all our speculation.

And I firmly believe the reason we have such a high number of pages is because we're not just fans of Cullen, we're also friends.

I'll ignore that for the time being and assume you meant biologically female, in which case... eh. It'd likely be revealed beforehand, so you can back out if that's a dealbreaker.

Also in their defense, I don't think I've always felt overwhelmed when going there. Sometimes conversation will cause a comment to go missed but they were always nice even when I confirmed I'm not really a Cullen fan but do support him and their fan base. Nice people there. :)
