The reason we see Scribbles as an economic advisor is (at least for me) because you can tailor your Inquisition stronghold for military, espionage, or commerce, and the other two have confirmed advisors.
Plus, honestly, running a group like the Inquisition, you'd need economic advisors.
The fact that she's always writing and dresses like a noblewoman helps.

That shouldn't be an issue for her she has quite the range, it would depend on bioware.

Economics *is* political advisement. If you spend all your refugee money on shiny demon pokers, people's view of you will change QUICKLY.

I'm more interested in political narrative, I should say. There's a specific type of intrigue there.

Mike Laidlaw is the lead project director for DA.
Catching up on the thread from this morning, just wanted to check this.
Mike is the lead designer, Mark Darrah is the project director.
Mike (along with the lead artist and lead programmer) reports to Mark, who is in overall control of the project direction.
David reports to Mike, and the Lead Writer position doesn't have nearly as much influence over the game as some people think it does (in terms of deciding when characters are revealed, say).
Not to sound pessimistic, but I don't think they'll say anything about her before the reveal.
Hopefully that's tonight, in which case they might answer a few later!
(I'm being overly optimistic, I know)
ok about Jenn Hale. We know from P Weekes's tweet he was in the recording booth with her. so it's safe to assume that she is voicing one of his female characters in DAI. now that could be Scribbles. we still don't know who wrote her. and i'm having my doubts it was Patrick. so who are the other female characters he wrote. there's Briala of course and oh yeah that's right.

I don't understand how this character can provoke such intense interest. Likely she'll just be like one of the advisors in Awakening or maybe like Gabby and Kenneth in ME2. You would think leaving her for last would bring home the message that she's not very important (and don't tell me "the last place is the place of honor" or anything like that because we all already know who the most important people in the inquisition are, and it isn't the advisors).
Honestly curious here.
Gaider confirmed that the advisers got the same writing budget as companions. That means they got the same number of lines, scenes, etc.
The only difference between them and the companions is they can't be part of your 4 person squad, and they make up for that in other arenas.
So, in an attempt to bring up a different topic, apparently our advisers might be temporary companions on certain occasions.
What sort of quests do you expect we'd be able to bring Scribbles along on?
I can see us perhaps serving as bodyguards or an equal voice in negotiations between her and a small band of knights or something that wish to join. There could be enemies that don't want us and the ones we are meeting to join forces, so ambush us along the way for the combat part.

And for those wondering what she does, a magazine article(don't have the link, sorry) when talking about the advisers referenced someone they called the 'political figure', someone who was involved in the political and economic affairs of the Inquisition.
To put it in perspective, the Inquisitor is the heart of the Inquisition while Scribbles in my opinion will pretty much be the face of the organization.

I'm in the extreme minority I think in not liking Hale's voice at all. I'm not speaking to her VA ability, and I don't even like saying it because I'm not actively trying to dislike her or put her down, or offend her fans. Her voice for some reason just grates on me.
I just really hope she isn't voicing anyone with a huge amount of dialogue.
