I don't think it's civilians place to give any input on warfare.

I dunno. Lots of ways to win a war, not everything is military strength. There are alliances and resources to consider, which would require a political advisor.

That.. a lot.  Many wars are won in war rooms and not on the field.  It doesn't matter how strong your military is if you have crap strategy.

But yeah, she looks super rad. I kind of miss her earrings/head jewelry that was in the concept art, but she still looks really good in the trailer!

As migumm said, most of it comes from people craving the characters they like to return in Inquisition so if someone looks even remotely like them they think it is them. In Scribbles case, they think she is Isabela because they are both dark skinned.

I believe it was because the first released image of her was of her holding a rolled papyrus or something like that. Posed like a "scribe." Without a name to call her, a nickname was given to her.
