Looking at the DA wiki that lists Sylvia's work in Mass Effect, I basically hate it all. That said, I can get excited for this character from the interview.

Sylvia mentioned that you can try to win her heart regardless of race or gender.

People should really not get excited as in this context its highly possible that yes we can try to win her heart, however she could could be more than capable of denying peoples advances, just like in the real world! Scary.

Depends on what you mean. They confirmed already she's a LI, so it's just not 'try'. You can succeed in romancing her.People should really not get excited as in this context its highly possible that yes we can try to win her heart, however she could could be more than capable of denying peoples advances, just like in the real world! Scary.
On the topic, I'm conflicted on who romancing in my first playthrough, her or Cassandra. Party banter, while I love it, isn't that relevant in romancing a character for me, and they practically confirmed banters in the castles/safe locations, which is one of the things I liked most in ME3.
Glad to finally know the full cast

While true, the fact they know the interview will be torn apart word by word makes me think they'd be careful to not have that misundersanding. If she was race-gated for example, they would say "regardless of gender" only instead of "regardless of race and gender". And since we know only 2 LIs are race-gated for story reasons, everything we know about her paints her as someone who wouldn't really care about race so I highly doubt she is one of the two.

Scribbles is mentioned on her official Dragon Age Wiki page. ![]()
Before her name was revealed, Josephine was nicknamed "Scribbles" by fans.[4]

Sorry for going off topic, but which 2 LI's are confirmed to be race gated? I suspect Iron Bull might be gated not to romance dwarves (due to obvious height difference which would be a pain for cinematic department).
On topic:
Josephine is going to mesh well with my female Qunari warrior, who'll be a bit awkward at dealing with people due to whole mistrust towards the Qunari in Thedas. She'll need an other half that is a real "people person" and good with words.
EDIT: Bah! Need to get used to calling Josephine by her name. She's been Scribbles for so long, calling her that has become a habit. ![]()

They haven't said which 2. All they have confirmed is that there are 8 LIs: Cassandra, Cullen, Dorian, Josephine, Sera, two unconfirmed companions, and one who is neither a companion or an adviser.
lol I plan something similar with my Female Qunari Rogue since it fits with her being my first playthrough so I have no idea how to handle the characters in it. ![]()

I suspect Varric and maybe Vivienne? I doubt IB will be because his character profile explicitly states him as been cool with getting into bed with anybody 'he won't break'

They say the race-gating is because of "story reasons", and story-wise, Iron bull is omnisexual

I don't think Vivienne will be an option. They implied that some characters will have "other things to do" instead of romance and in the trailer they talked about Vivienne having some possible hidden agenda. I'd place my bet on Iron Bull and either Varric or Solas (although I'm preying for Blackwall), with maybe Dagna or Briala or a new female as the outsider romance.

I see. Thank you for the info.
In that case I'll wait and see which "fortunate" individuals got race gated.

I hope it's not Briala. Nothing against her, but I really want to see her get back together with Celene.

If I had to guess I'd say Cullen because he thinks Qunari are heathens and Varric because he's not into humans.

I'm hoping for Dagna. There needs to be at least one Dwarven love interest.

I'm pretty sure they will keep it even as much as possible, so the unknown love interests will have 2 males and 1 female, which would make it 4/4.
So 2 more companions?
Well, we have Varric, Solas, IB and Vivienne left... I'd put my money on Solas. We don't really have a nerdy type yet in the romances.

As a Grand Enchanter and the closest thing mages have to a leader, I wouldn't be suprised if Fiona got blown up alongside everyone else who was attending that peace summit.

Cullen also thinks Dwarves are heathens. He calls Oghren such in Dragon Age; Origins.

Yeah, but then again they did confirm Alistair was an elf-blood, so they may close that plotline in this game since the mages are in Ferelden. That needs her alive to do that. #futileDAIhopes

He did say it when he was under torture and of course being influenced by the Chantry. It might be he changed his mind since then having left the Templars (and about Qunari too).
We'll see of course.

That was my guess. I'm 98% positive Iron Bull is going to be the second bisexual LI. It pains me, but I think Solas & Varric have a better shot at being LIs than Blackwall.
Wouldn't Merrill count as a nerdy LI? Or Alistair (that one might be a bit of a stretch)?
