She's gorgeous to be sure! She looks hispanic (whereas I was expecting her to look south asian).
Wasn't expecting a name like Josephine either, but I quite like it!
I'm trying to think of other characters who were from Antiva so I can get an idea of what her accent will sound like... Zevran is all I can come up with.
I wonder if she likes to dance?! ![]()
Great way to start my morning! Happy day!

So I think I just ran into a problem. I have named all the character in my main play throughs Joseph. And, if a romance Josephine in my canon play I they would sound like a too cute couple. I knew those Joes two would get together sooner or later. Should I pick a new name for my Inquisitor?

Nah. Have fun with it. It has great teasing potential. Not to mention, Charlie and the Chocolate factory did it: George and Georgina and Joseph (Joe for short) and Josephine.

I don't know why but she reminds me a little of Juani from KOTOR, who I loved. Maybe it's the eyes?
Amazing graphics btw. ![]()

She's obviously got real person that her face is based on, there. Do you reckon it's based off the VA or off a model?

Castillon (DA2), Cesar (DA:O, the crow contact at Denerim marketplace), Ignacio (the main crow contact inside Gnawed Noble), Nuncio (who hires you to find Zevran in DA2), Vincento (Feynriels dad, DA2).

I thought I'd pop on here while I was at work earlier today to see the twitter updates, and I find Scribbles! Josephine! What a lovely way to start the day!
She's beautiful! And Antivan too... I hope she has a lovely accent. I wonder what kind of perspective she'll offer compared to Zevran. I love that we're getting companions that will show us a different view of a place than previous companions (like with Fenris & Dorian). She must be pretty sharp and cunning, Zev made it sound like the merchant princes were a nest of snakes.
I love that she's bi and not race-gated. Oh dear, I'm going to end up with eight playthroughs... one for each race, both male and female.

I think Castillon was Orlesian; his name is more suggestive of that than Antivan.

I guess she's gonna be a little bit nerdy due to her line of work, and that shy/innocent type of gurl

A shy/innocent politician? Even in a fictional world like Thedas, that seems a ridiculous notion.

Then why does he have a Spanish accent and voice actor? The wiki states that he is Antivan, and I think that Isabela says so as well.

Rivaini is like the Spain under Muslim occupation.
Antiva is Spain under Christian occupation.
The Muslims who invaded Spain were North African Muslims along with Arab Muslims. After being conquered, Spain became ruled by the African Muslims for almost 800 years.
The Qunari are the Arab Muslims, the Rivaini are the North Africans who are being influenced by the Arab Muslims/Qunari.
I agree but I still say Antiva has the Italian Influence

Maybe it's because I'm not American but I don't get where people keep digging up these 'agendas' if an NPC happens to be not white.

I agree that he was Antivan. He was identified by such by Isabela and he speaks with a Spanish accent, which has been used throughout the series for Antivan characters.
But I can understand why Xil thought he might be Orlesian, as Castillon is a French. The decisive battle of the Hundred Years War was the Battle of Castillon, named for the French town nearby. Given the name perhaps Castillon was both Orlesian and Antivan. It is possible he could have been born in Antiva (hence the accent) but of full or partial Orlesian ancestry.

Accusing the devs of this or that because you don't like someone's character design isn't an American trait, it's douchebag trait. Unfortunately, you can find them anywhere.

Well, the game takes place in a fictional Europe counterpart, and it's not uncommon to find foreign sounding names in various countries. Take André Rieu the violonist: he's dutch, but his name is French. I don't see why that couldn't happen in Thedas.
