I know, I liked Zevran too ^_^

Seriously/?!! AM I the only one who hated Zevran? He's the only Origin companion I hated and when he came back after a bug in DA2, I wanted to kill him again!

Accusing the devs of this or that because you don't like someone's character design isn't an American trait, it's douchebag trait. Unfortunately, you can find them anywhere.

Sorry, I meant more like I see the word agenda used a lot in these moments and I don't completely understand what they mean with it. As if there's a group conspiring to make everyone POC? It's confusing.

I agree that he was Antivan. He was identified by such by Isabela and he speaks with a Spanish accent, which has been used throughout the series for Antivan characters.

But I can understand why Xil thought he might be Orlesian, as Castillon is a French. The decisive battle of the Hundred Years War was the  Battle of Castillon, named for the French town nearby. Given the name perhaps Castillon was both Orlesian and Antivan. It is possible he could have been born in Antiva (hence the accent) but of full or partial Orlesian ancestry.

Can someone give me the difference between a Spanish and Italian accent? I know it sounds dumb but I thought Castillion had a Italian accent. I know other Antivans like Ignacio, Cesar had Italian accents.

I let him live, but him and Sten are really flat characters that at time I think "why did I keep you?".

I thought I'd pop on here while I was at work earlier today to see the twitter updates, and I find Scribbles! Josephine! What a lovely way to start the day!

She's beautiful! And Antivan too... I hope she has a lovely accent. I wonder what kind of perspective she'll offer compared to Zevran. I love that we're getting companions that will show us a different view of a place than previous companions (like with Fenris & Dorian). She must be pretty sharp and cunning, Zev made it sound like the merchant princes were a nest of snakes.

I love that she's bi and not race-gated. Oh dear, I'm going to end up with eight playthroughs... one for each race, both male and female.

According to the devs, she has a cool accent and a very sultry voice.

I hope she shows us both women in Antivan culture since from the wiki and codex it sounds interesting as well as how Antiva is outside of their criminal underworld.

Agenda has become a bi-word that is taken to mean "actions take against you or your interests".  Effectively, it is the most politically correct way to be bigoted.  It makes it look like the offending group or ideology is "striking first" by upsetting the comfortable status quo.

Some people see the expanding of multicultural representations in media as a deliberate attack on their worldview, much the way that some straight people see the inclusion of gay or bisexual content as an attack on straight people. Neither of those is uniquely american as far as delusions go, though we probably are one of the few developed nations that has a major TV network dedicated to encouraging people to think that way. >_>;

She's gorgeous

I don't know why but she reminds me a little of Juani from KOTOR, who I loved. Maybe it's the eyes?
Amazing graphics btw. :o

Hmm...

Castile was a former Iberian kingdom, now part of Spain; named after the numerous castles that were in the region. The people are "Castilian".  Which is also very similar to his name, although I might be pronouncing his name wrong.

Sten is more relatable. And, Zevran's only fan fact is he like bondage. He is only alive to keep the Crows away.

The nation is based off of them, but the people can be different.

For example, Tevinter is based of the Roman Empire and yet Dorian is akin to an Indian.

Seems like a lot of people get hung up on wanting the world of Thedas to have 1:1 analogues in the real world...

I have to ask... you do know there are non-white people that live in all the European and North American nations, right?

There are black and Asian people in Spain.

A cording to a US census form yes. If you are the around the same color as a paper bag you are a PoC in the States. We only have six boxes when it comes to what race you are. Race is color. Ethnicity would be "Spanish" or "Italian".
