Personally, I'm planning a human female rogue and their romances can be rooted in the fact that they love this political stuff. Inq would enjoy being noble and enjoy wielding power and getting people on her side without lifting a finger. Josephine would be her right hand and brainstorming partner as well as lover.

Varric is more of a story teller tho, perhaps a banter like:

For some reason I can't stop thinking about a concept that's been around since the cavemen when thinking about romancing Josephine; you know, "man goes off to/comes home from war, while his wife stays at home and waits for him". Not that I think the romance will be anything like that, though.
