Maybe she's a mage adviser, while Cullen is a Templar one, who knows. But hey the more mages the better. Magequisition ftw.
Considering they confirmed the 3/3/3 split, i think it would be nice if she was a companion, especially to offset the male domination we seem to be having thus far, but then im pretty sure the mustachio mage who we've seen with his staff is taking the mage slot, so thats depressing. I wonder if she's going to be like Cullen and be close to the inquisitor while not being a companion (hopefully romancable aswell)
I'm holding out hope she's a companion. If the last mage is DHMG there's still a spot to fill among the rogues to get a 3/3/3 split, and as you guys have pointed out she would even out the gender ratio pretty nicely to a 5/4 split.

Yeah, I just think it would really weird to have her concept art not show her class if she is a companion. I'm pretty sure that other confirmed companions all had weapons in their concept art. She has......a quill and parchment? I just can't see why they would make that decision if she was a mage or a rogue. Maybe I'm totally wrong, but it's just a strong feeling that I have about it.
Plus, it's looking more and more likely that DHMG, whether he is Dorian or not, is probably a mage companion since he's been shown with his spearlike staff in the party with the Inquisitor in some concept art.

That's fine. I'd rather have her as an LI than Vivienne, but different strokes for different folks.

As someone said in the Cullen thread, it would be interesting if she was actually Antivan instead of Revaini. Besides Zevran and the Crows, we've had no experience with people from that nation.
