still august

and september

I mean at least now I don't have college, but when its halfway through september the torture will reach unbearable levels.

Personally I think school would be preferable to vacation. At least then people have something to occupy their minds most of the day.

The joys of being out of school: you have work to keep you busy all year round!

Damn. Leliana's thread has indeed gone nuts.

Evidently visual evidence of torture = Players having a torture fetish somehow.  The mental gymnastics required for that....

You would think that they would have some sense to have a separate thread on how she acted / looked in the demo vs discussing about Leliana as a whole.

Anyway, back to the adorable Josephine Montilyet...

If Josie is an ice cream, she would be Rainbow Sherbet peppered with fine assorted nuts and topped with a delicious berry... the ice cream cone will be designed to look like a parchment and the spoon will look like a quill...Ohh yeah...

To think: an entire thread derailed by a single nutcase. They're not giving up either. We are ignoring them now for the most part.

Is rainbow sherbet usually served with some kind of syrup or coulis? Something deep red...

To be fair though, the topic is still relevant to her as character threads doesn't always have to be about gushing at the character

I hope you don't mind me giving my two cents on the matter. Some people need to learn the difference between reality and fiction.

And anybody want to help me crystallize a possible Inquisitor for Josephine>

Let's not bring that here. I agree with you, but some of the stuff said by a certain someone... way beyond the line.

Sure! Do you have some basic ideas, like class and race?

Josephine seems to be a knowledgeable diplomatic. I would even say that she will be one of the most vital person in the whole team because of it. Think of it.

We will have to deal with Dalish Elves, City Elves, Surface Dwarves, Underground Dwarves, Templars, Red Templars, Peaceful Mages, Crazy Mages, Human Commoners, Human Nobles, Venatori, Tal-Vashoth, Qunari, etc

Since Josephine is the ONLY diplomat and diplomatic / trade / commerce adviser available to us, she must be very intelligent, very talented and very well versed on other cultures. You cannot be making deals of any form, be it diplomatic or commerce, by being a closeted princess.

Which means for an Inquisitor to romance Josephine, they would probably have to have an open mind, be curious about knowledge and cultures, value diplomatic and trading highly, you will be appealing to a character like her. Bonus points if you are play as an intelligent Inquisitor.

Since she can be romanced by any and every type if Inquisitor, I think what matters more here is the Inquisitor's personality and viewpoints.

Good point.

An open mind is definitely a must. A certain level of deviousness would not hurt, as she most certainly has that. Basically, a people-person who is smart and try to avoid open conflict as much as possible would get her attention.

I certainly do! I adore playing noble characters and we've finally got Alex Wilton Regan as a VA so human female as a given. I'm seeing the Inquisitor as someone who enjoys wielding power, who enjoys playing the game. My sticking point is class, really. I can see the mage as more ruthless and ambitious. This is her birthright that was stolen from her and she will not let it go. I can see Josephine as something of a mentor, vying for her metaphorical soul. A non-mage I see as a dutiful daughter. Maybe a rogue? Other people may rule the world and need their egos stroked, but people like her and Josephine run it. I see her as wittier, with an almost pathological inability to hold a grudge. Vengeance is for suckers. I see her and Josephine more as equals, trading stories and tips long into the night.

Yeah, like flirting with the hottie in junior year playing Civilization: Beyond Earth reading that last Riordan book upgrading my workout schedule getting started on that anthology I was planning to write getting together with a motley to play Changeling: the Lost going to that House of Horror theme park and why the hell is my autumn so much busier than my summer?

Which version to go with? And maybe some questions I should ask myself to flesh them out. Am tempted to put the mage with Cullen for "pass the popcorn" potential.

It's funny, I played the exact same concept as your mage example with an Amell in DAO, only Morrigan served the role of Josephine there. Knowing that, I am inclined to tell you to go with the rogue/warrior idea, mainly because I feel it fits DAI better. The main question I ask myself when shaping a character is what kind of past he/she had and how that affected him/her. In the case of a human, for example, you might want to take a look at the possible Marcher cities he/she might come from and see how that would affect your concept. I said elsewhere I think Tantervale is the most likely, so maybe you'll want to focus on that one.

Just a bit of advice based on my own experiences.

I  will romance Josie as male Dalish rogue and then as a female Human Warrior. The rogue will be " Tony Stark" and the warrior will be the "Captain America". Then i will see who Josie wants more, someone who is her equal or someone who can learn from her. Her reactions in game will determine the winner .

I haven't decided on making a Human or Qunari first, since i've currently planned 2 playthroughs one with a warrior who's going to be alot like me and the other would be a rouge focusing more on cunning wit, deception and that sort of espionage. (will probably end up human first because more attractive w/e) and I think I'll be doing the same, I hope we can "test" some romances as well cause I'm really curious about Cassandra, Iron Bull (to be honest it's more about the hilarity than anything, I want to make a dwarf just for him lol) and Dorian. But Josie first.

I'm contemplating a Dwarven Inquisitor for Josephine. House Cadash was once among the nobility, not so much now since their thaig is full of Darkspawn and the house has gone topside. So rising to the position of Inquisitor is something of a return to form, and Josephine appears to be a little less high-strung than some of the other members of the retinue.

I really don't like her last name. Montilyet for me is an almost unpronounceable name and when I hear how its said, all I'm going to be thinking is "Well why can't it be spelled that way and not this way?"

Other then that, she seems like she'll be a good advisor/fun character to interact with.
