IB, Sera, Dorian, Cole, Varric, Solas and Blackwall are Chantry zealots?I was talking about her postion towards chantry and the hopeless situation having a pc against chantry in general since everyone around you are chantry zealots.

Just go with the flow and see which one you gravitate to.
I highly doubt that 'everyone' will be a Chantry zealot: Varric, Solas, Dorian, Iron Bull, Sera and Cole don't strike me as particularly religious.
I don't even think the ones that are religious are zealots. Leliana and Cullen obviously believe in the Maker, but they never came across as zealots to me, unless the definition has changed (or you're automatically a zealot as soon as you mention your faith). And Cassandra, while religious, seems to favour suspicion and caution and practicality over faith.

Other then I have a different opinion of what a Chantry zealot is compared to yours, we have no clue if Josephine is even particulary loyal to the Chantry.
I just have a gut feeling about this. "you can oppose chantry" sounds like "decisions matter" in ME3.
If with 'oppose the Chantry' you mean destroy or directly fight it, we won't. The confirmed this in one thread.I just have a gut feeling about this. "you can oppose chantry" sounds like "decisions matter" in ME3.

That doesn't mean you have to support it. Cameron's interview with Ausgamer already stated how the Inquisition is indipendant from the Chantry.
Though considering how important this topic is for you, I'll definitely wait to see what people will say about it after release.
I sort of doubt the Chantry will have too much to do with the overall plot, anyway. There might be a plot where the Inquisition digs up Chantry secrets or something -- and then there'll be those who believe the Inquisitor was sent by the maker, simply because of the circumstances and what they're doing -- but I imagine for the most part we'll be focused on how the world is going to hell and back.

So how do you do not support chantry if your team is mostly chantry zealots and you cannot oppose chantry itself? sounds rather fishy to me, you can silenty frown upon chantry but you still have to do what they say?

damm can't you read?
You don't have to do what they say the Inquisition is its own organisation they don't follow orders they give them (or rather the player)
Sure you can't destroy it but you can just say no go f.. yourself I'm doing my own thing
And that should be enough

Three out of nine companions and three advisors is a funny 'most'. And those that are religious aren't zealots, anyway.

Actually there are just two pro-Chantry companions (Cassandra and Vivienne).Three out of nine companions and three advisors is a funny 'most'. And those that are religious aren't zealots, anyway.
Yup. The Chantry is too weak to do much.I sort of doubt the Chantry will have too much to do with the overall plot, anyway. Is Vivienne pro-Chanty? I thought she was just pro-Circle?
And I was including the advisors; Cullen and Lelianna. So Cassandra, Cullen, Leliana. ![]()
Zealot: a person who is fanatical and uncompromising in pursuit of their religious, political, or other ideals.
That does not sound like anyone on the team.
Come to think of it, the Inquisition is made of moderates. It's everyone else who are zealots: the Venatori, the Red Templars, the Orlesian factions...

Cullen was most definitely a zealot for most of Origins and all of 2. Leliana... well, we'll see.

I think that's the point this time around, actually. We had quite a few extremes in DAII, now it's time to have moderate examples.

Cullen wasn't exactly a zealot and had reasons for his views in Origins after the Broken Circle quest and in DAII. It's completely fine that you dislike him, of course, but there's nuances and reason in his character at that period of time that shouldn't be ignored, either and aren't exactly the same as being a flat out zealot. Still, judging from what little we've been told and hints the devs have dropped, I think it's safe to say he'll be more moderate in Inquisition.
Anyway! Josie thread!
Do any of you fans have Inquisitor ideas for her? I'm curious about all the different personalities people will choose to play~ ![]()

I wouldn't say that. He did side against Meredith in the end because she went too flipping far. And he was having doubts before that. Now, Meredith? That was a zealot!

And even then that was when the lyrium really started to get to her. Before that, she had completely reasonable arguments.

Zealots have dimensions like anyone else. Except for some of the mentally ill, like Meredith.
As for my Inquisitor, I don't think we'd get along too badly... unless she had some issue with the Dalish, of course. Which seems unlikely. I doubt I'll romance her, but I haven't sensed anything bad about her.
hey Princess!

Hi Bird, Josephine seems good so far, just afraid her romance will always be inferior compared to companion romances ![]()

I'm thinking of romancing her with a reluctant Inquisitor. She will do the job, but she hates being so out of control of her life and feeling like the ground could collapse from under her at any moment. Josie will provide stability. ![]()
