I would die laughing if they named the character Scribbles.
...and, then they gave her a Mission Vao attitude.

If they have her ingame nickname be Scribbles, I will squee. ![]()
I love Mission, though i anyone in DAI is like her I think it'll be Sera.
Though if Scribbles is the Mission, is Blackall her Zaalbar hence the standing next to each other? ![]()

I think Gaider has already hinted that her personality is similar to Effie Trinket. He suggested that she would be the "That's Mohagany!" person in the war room scenario. It makes me wonder if she's also the missing third "mean girl" from the Vivienne/Iron Bull Mean Girls fan piece.

I thought he might have been talking about Sera/Dorian for the 3rd Mean Girl.

Gaider also posted this in the thread.
Her chief weapon is surprise. Surprise and fear. Surprise and fear and ruthless efficiency. Surprise and fear and ruthless efficiency and an almost fanatical devotion to the Inquisitor.
And the comfy chair.

Makes me really excited and curious.
It actually makes me like her much much more. She was looking and sounding a bit twee with her cutsey nickname. I kind of like that she is going to be ruthless, efficient, and fanatically devoted. Yeah. She's moved way up in my estimation.
guys... that's a monty python reference.
The whole thing or just the comfy chair part? Because I knew the latter was.
I am legitimately saddened by people in multiple threads not knowing the reference. Everyone is assuming "Fanatical devotion to the Inquisitor" = fangirl instead of being part of the source material/joke. :-/
we don't know anything about her personality. but what we do know is that she's dangerously adorable.
It's been so long since I've seen a Flying Circus episode that I completely forgot the rest of the skit except for the "No one expects the Spanish Inquisition" line.
Well, boo. Back to thinking that she might be twee and irritating. Blah.
there's no reason to think that?
Somehow, when I look at Scribe Girl, "irritating" does not come to my mind at all. Maybe that's just me?
Everything about her is pure speculation, including the nickname fandom has given to her. People jump to conclusions about her being a secretary and/or Samantha Traynor pt. 2 as well. What is this being based on contextually? The fact that she has darker skin? Her holding a quill?
You know, if she were a guy, I feel like people would be calling him a poet or a scholar or something more prestigious.
Scribes were very important figures in Ancient Egypt, it's not a derogatory term.

It's not the nickname, it's people who are automatically assuming she's their personal assistant/fangirl. I think Scribe Girl is a solid nickname. I've been using it for my art tags, etc.

Not everyone thinks that, a few people have speculated that she is the "economics/politics" counselor, just like Leliana might be the "spy network" counselor, and Cullen the "war/army" counselor.

Yeah, I actually don't think she's going to be the personal assistant role. I think she's going to be the political/trade advisor.
So disappointed today. I log-in hoping for at least DHMG or Cole, but hopefully Scribbles, and instead we get the character we already know the most about (bar Varric/Cass). Makes me sad ![]()
Yep. I didn't mean it as a sweeping generalization, but I have seen it pop up in several places.... admittedly, less so here in the Scribe Girl thread which makes me happy.

Um, pretty much nobody expects her to be just a secretary. At least not on this thread where we know she'll be as important to the Inquisition as Cullen and Leliana.

I know. Not the dark-skinned female I was hoping they'd release. ![]()
