Most, if not all, the Thedosian cultures incorporate elements of several medieval European originals. For example, Ferelden has an England/France relationship with Orlais (where both sides play both England and France, amusingly), many of its people have English, Scottish, and Welsh names, and it has a political system that looks like a mishmash of Merovingian Francia and turn-of-the-millennium Alba.
So while it's natural to look at the similarities between certain parts of Thedas and "corresponding" parts of Europe, it's a mistake to progress from that to assuming that Thedosian kingdoms are Expys of individual medieval European ones.
I never claimed it was a carbon copy, but considering you have Antivans speaking with Spanish accents and using the Spanish language in their dialogue, it's clear that it's influenced by the Spanish in that regard, while the developers said that Antiva itself was modeled after the medieval Italian city-states. In fact, "influenced" is precisely the word I used in the post you responded to. I'm not certain how you made the mistake of assuming I claimed that it was an exact equivalent of the Spanish.
