While I'm glad they've made elves less...weird, I do kind of wish they kept those big glowy eyes they had.
That was the only change to appearance I actually liked.
I'm sure you can adjust eye size in the CC ![]()

I don't mean the actual eyeball size, I mean how elven eyes in DA2 were pretty much entirely iris.
Little thing, but I actually liked that.

And the color of both the pupil and sclera! Here's to making freaky eyes!
Josephine: I'd love to gaze soulfully into your eyes but... they scare me.
Sleazequisitor: How about I close them and we go straight to kissing?
Josephine: *slap!*
Sleazequisitor: Worth it!
Well, that's the thing; Elves have always looked like humans before. Just look at most fantasy pieces.
Anything is beter then those elves we got in DA 2
I actually liked the DA2 elves.. their slender frames, big doughy eyes and foreheads that lined up with the bridge of their noses actually made them look like elves.
Sure they weren't perfect, but they were better than just weird looking, slighty short humans with pointy ears.
From what little we've seen of them, the new elves are just DA:O elves on a better engine...in my opinion.
...big doughy eyes...
What, like doughnuts?

The big irises worked with some eye shapes, but not with others. Though the elfquisitor's eyes still don't look human

But it kinda destroyed the whole lore thing regarding that female elves were considered beautiful by humans.
Its fine if you liked them though!
But I vastly prefered the new designs.

I am a human and considered the DA2 female Elves beautiful. It's the same in Thedas and on Earth. Tastes differ ![]()

I was thinking the one from the Animated Series actually. She saves herself plenty of times and she's smart and intrepid.
I liked the DA2 elves too, i would have prefered the DA:I elves to be a mix of DA:O & DA2 instead of them going back to being slightly shorter humans with pointed ears, if that inquisitor was wearing a helmet that covered her ears id probably think was a female human instead of a elf.

Yeah, I'll miss the animesque irises on elves. ![]()
Speaking of elves, I wonder if Josie will goof the same way Leliana did or if she will find a way to avoid causing offense (most likely). Being noble born, all the elves she has met were her social inferiors. Although I get the feeling she would be one of those people who are nice to the waiter.

As I said when someone wondered if she'd be wary of the Qunari Inquisitor, I think Josephine will be one of the most accepting out of the bunch. She is a people person, and knows that such actions will only result in more animosity which is against what she wants.

She might be intimidated by the size at first if she has never met a Qunari, but I'm sure she would recover quickly. Funny thing though, if she is the type of person who wants everybody to get along, it might irritate some people. It's a fun paradox of human nature that some always try to avoid conflict while others always seek to cause it. The two generally do not go well together.
I wonder if Josephine would continue to live with the Inquisitor when all this was over... and if there'd be anywhere she'd refuse to live.

Well this is Bioware. The chances of a happy ending are very, very slim. I can imagine Josie would want a certain level of comfort, but as to location, I think she would be on board with most options.

DAO had a happy ending before everything was ruined in the next game, and the ME3 debacle will hopefully lead more people at Bioware to believe that happy endings are necessary.
Anyway... I ask this largely because my Inquisitor would probably want to return to the Dalish, and I'm not sure if that level of comfort would be present unless they'd secured a homeland.

Personally, I don't think the Inquisition will disappear after the Breach is sealed but will be a new organization. Like Grey Wardens, but deal with Fade issues for example.

Agreed. The whole "and then they went their separate ways" plot device always bothers me, because it feels like a cheapening of battle-forged bonds and such. I mean, it made a little more sense with Hawke because the alliances between party members in DA2 were pretty consistently tenuous, but on the whole I don't really dig it. That was one thing I liked so much about Awakening, since your party got folded into the Grey Wardens there was a sense of continued camaraderie.
And yeah, assuming the Fade will always be an issue (and especially considering how grievous the Breach looks) I wouldn't be surprised if the Inquisition's new permanent role was just to be "The Fade Squad", like the Grey Wardens are "The Darkspawn Dudes". I like that idea!

Exactly. No happy endings, just quiet transitions before the next sh*t storm happens.
I wouldn't say that happy endings are necessary, but it is nice when it is an option, even if it is crazy hard to get. Most gamers I know, myself included, would be willing to put lots of time and effort in order to achieve that wonderful, perfect, golden ending.

Not to mention that the game continues after you seal the Breach, so they don't disband after that.
Angry Inquisitor time! (PC is not yet leader)
