Angry Inquisitor time! (PC is not yet leader)

Spoiler

Nicely done ! This will be most likely how my Inquisitor behave. They will take charge, get stuff done and kick ass. Chantry losers be damned.

Generally speaking, most groups tend to frown upon it. When Soris gets involved with a human woman, he deals with racism from humans and elves in the Alienage; when Hawke is romantically involved with Merrill, it causes controversy among the humans in Hightown. I wonder if an interracial romance will actually address it this time, or if it'll be mostly handwaved to a codex entry like it was in Dragon Age II.

True. It's one reason why I want to romance Cullen with my Tophquisitor. A human Templar and a Dalish Mage seems like the ultimate "opposites attract" thing and I'm curious how it will be dealt with.

any idea if this is true and has been stated by the devs at some point?

They need to rectify this. Next demo should have the 5 people we haven't seen in demos so far in my opinion: Blackwall, Cole, Cullen, Josephine, Solas.

We need to hear Josie talk! I want to hear that sexy accent we've heard so much about without actually hearing it.

He spends so much time on the forums it's a wonder he gets any work done.

Just kidding. We appreciate your time, Allan. :)

So I was revisiting one of my favorite operas this morning-- The Marriage(s) of Figaro-- and I think I found Josephine's theme song (or at least, what she sings to herself in private :D )

"Se vuol ballare", sung here by Erwin Schrott:

Nope! I like to think Cassandra has a habit of eavesdropping on classical music binges, but that's another story for another thread...

Mind you, opera has been around since the 1500's, but it was confined to the courts. It's very possible that Josephine has an assortment of favorite arias. Italians invented the style and some of the greatest masters were Italian. Concert etiquette has varied through the ages, but usually applauding before the end of a piece was a major faux pas. I wonder if Josephine will coach us on proper behavior among the rich and powerful if we are not the human Inquisitor, who is a noble and would already know. Well, maybe except the mage, having grown up in the circle and all.

Or a dance lesson! That would be an awesome scene!

If I could like this post twice, I would. I can definitely see Josephine acting like as much of a culture consultant as she does like a diplomat. As an example, my Dalish Elf Inquisitor isn't going to know (or care) much about the specific social norms and expectations of human society, and especially the ridiculously complex system Orlais has going on. I fully anticipate that Josephine will have to do some "My Fair Lady"-caliber education on my Inquisitor before he's up to snuff-- assuming he then even cares about keeping up appearances, but that's for him to decide :D

Elfquisitor (or other non human): Why do I have to do this? And why do Shemlen use so many bloody forks? One is enough!

Josephine: *sigh* As I told you, a certain standard of behavior is expected when in a noble household. You are the guest of honor and you must make a good impression.

Elfquisitor: Bah! Stupid Orlesians and their stupid rules! I ought to...

Josephine: *stern* Do you want those 200 soldiers the Countess has promised us, or would you rather do without?

Elfquisitor: ... Alright. Which one's the salad fork again?

They already made a companions trailer with bull, Vivienne, Sera and Blackwall. I hope they will do the same with the remaining companions and advisors

I'm hoping we get to hear some of those banters the advisors have in Skyhold. Maybe when they show the fortress?

And hopefully one will feature Josephine.  Then we can do a mad scramble scouring youtube for the VA.

I'll be too busy replaying the video over and over to listen to her voice. It seems the BSN in general is in desperate need of a fix.

I can also see Josephine serving as almost a walking codex on the different cultures, having had to study them all in being an ambassador.

She published her findings:

Lady Montilyet's treatise on Thedan culture and politics.

There's also a simplified version for the uninitiated:

If you cannot make friends and influence people, be quiet and look pretty.

Have to? Probably not. Be able to? Seems likely. Unless you count putting down an attacking animal as hunting? It's not Far Cry 3 where you need the skins to upgrade your stuff.

Why does someone with a cheetah avatar fear that?

I just don't want another Tomb Raider on my hands. I still haven't been able to finish it.
