I don't see the fuss about her having an italian accent.
Here in the UK you could walk into a different town and have almost everyone speaking in a completely different accent to you.
Hell, I could walk into the chavvy part of town just down the street and people would be speaking in a completely different accent...

My experience is that in fact most mediterranean accents sound similar to a lot of people in northern europe, but truth it's I can't tell the difference between dutch, german or swedish accents either, so I personally can't blame them
Most people have a hard time with any language than their own, let alone being able to distinquish between different related languages or Gods forbid, recognising dialects within another language.
I can differentiate between northern French and southern French, but don’t ask me the difference between, say, Toulouse and Marseille. ‘Old’ Bavarian versus standard German? No problem, but Austrian and ‘Old’ Bavarian? They both sound like yodelling mountaineers to me. Same with Danes and Swedes, alas, Swedish relatives notwithstanding.
It has to do with the phonetics, the sound system, of a language. The more closely related a language or dialect, the more similar these are and the harder it is to ‘recognise’ the resulting accents in another language. For instance, there are some differences between the English of somebody who normally speaks standard Dutch (or a dialect close to it), and somebody who normally speaks an eastern Dutch dialect. I can hear the difference (being Dutch and from an eastern province) but a non-Dutch speaker, unless he or she is a trained, experienced listener and a bit of a linguist, doesn’t stand a chance of hearing it.
Regardless, language differences and the resulting difficulties in communication are fascinating and can be quite funny as well...

You can do that in America too, particularly if you live on the East Coast. There are quite a number of accents.

Yup. Just harmless nerds playing and having fun ![]()
Which reminds me, since I suspect some people keep confusing accent and dialect:
http://www.differenc...nt-and-dialect/
And yes, every village and even every neighbourhood in Europe has, or used to have, its own dialect, ever-so-slightly different from the neighbouring one. My mother had to make some effort to understand the dialect of my grandparents - in the village thas was 25 minutes by bike from where she was born

I'm more curious about what she looks like with her hair down I bet she looks quite lovely
(I'm hoping some fan art with her bun undone is floating around some where that's one of the two Josephine fanarts I absolutely need in life)
I'm hoping that they put it ingame in a DLC, like an Alternate Advisor Appearance Pack or just in a scene is a story DLC.

So, Kallen/Sasha came in to the Varric thread the other day and i didn't realize it was you!
I was like "Who's this new person we've got a lot of those recently!"
then I saw the Josephine thread and tripped out.
Just thought I'd let you know
(P.S you're always Sasha to me because she's one of my favorite SnK characters so deal with it)

That would be really cool, unlikely but still really cool
If it isn't I will still settle for fanart its just something I need in my life, Josephine with her hair down and Josephine feeding Koi or relaxing by a Koi pond

Yes they would and her voice actress does like ducks and swans are close enough to them. So long as they aren't geese, all geese aside from George and George are evil. OH someone should do her feeding little baby ducks that would be adorable x3

Or the obvious: Josie taking a bath with a rubber duckie. Done to death but appropriate in this case. ![]()

Over done but I approve, I wonder if they have anything like bubble baths in Thedas? Or it could be a real pet ducky ![]()

Bubble baths didn't appear until the 1900s, but bath salts and oils have been around for a long time. That would be close enough. A pet duck might lead to some problems though... In the words of Leliana: "Terrified birdies often have loose bowels". Ick.

Yeah, I figured it was time for a change. I chose Kallen because she is one of my favorite anime characters ever and is also always the basis of one of my main characters in these games.
Though I do plan on making a Sasha character too.

So she goes to a nearby hot spring and uses bath salts and oils. There, a medieval version of a bubble bath.

Hard to keep track of you, lol. I can't even remember the first name I saw you use, which was two names ago? When we were arguing about Velanna long, long ago lol.
You should put some reference to your current name in your sig so us anime noobs know what you're referencing, lol ![]()

Inquisitor: Lady Josephine, you wouldn't happen to know where I could find a broom closet in this place?
Josie: *stunned* A broom closet? Whatever for?
Inquisitor: I require a broom, obviously.
Josie: But why do you... *catching on* Oh no. No no no, don't say it.
Inquisitor: Why, to sweep you off your feet!
Josie: *sigh* While you fetch your broom, why don't you check if there is a mop and bucket as well?
Inquisitor: Oh, you want to wipe the floor with me? *grin*
Josie: ... You've got me doing it!
