I actually figure it's something adorable.  Maybe she's proofing reading Varric's writing.

Or is pointing out plotholes in his stories. The pivotal part about the scene would be where she actually gets Varric to acknowledge his mistake.

Well, there seems to be a scene where we go to a ball, but as for dancing with a character of our choosing I think we all know there is no guarantee that it will be there. 

 

But then again it gives the DA team an idea if they ever do something akin to Mass Effect: Citadel for DAI.
