I wonder if we'll get to see the day-to-day operations of the Inquisition? The Inquisitor and the party have the glamorous job, the advisors? Maybe not so much:

Inquisitor: Are you alright? You look like you haven't slept in days.

Josephine: (slightly disheveled) I haven't slept in days. You keep making all of these new friends and they keep sending petitions, letters, and all kinds of paperwork that can't reach you in the field.

Inquisitor: I could always take care of it if you want to get some rest.

Josephine: Oh, I plan on getting some rest but you're coming with me. It's the first time in weeks that you've been home, and I intend on making the most of it.

Cause I'm thinking of making my first playthrought a diplomatic qunari archer (if the male qunari's have good models)

I plan on romancing her with every race at least once, so yes.

I wonder how long into the game we will get Josephine?  If you think about it there will undoubtedly be a build up to making the Inquisition.  Then they say she is an old friend of Leliana and it is her that brings Josephine into the Inquisition.  I just hope it is not to long into the game.  I know it won't be that long since she seems to be part off major gameplay function but still...

I suspect that we will have Cassandra, Cullen, Josephine, Leliana, and probably Varric from the start. The first 4 are the cornerstones of the group, with Cassandra being the first leader most likely and the other 3 being in their positions, and we know that Varric goes with Cassandra and Leliana after the events of DA2.

The first 4 are the cornerstones of the group, with Cassandra being the first leader most likely and the other 3 being in their positions, and we know that Varric goes with Cassandra and Leliana after the events of DA2. 

 

See I think we will start with Cassandra, Leliana, and Varric.  I just guess that it will just start with those three and a small army that will be the start and then once they put you as the leader it starts to grow and you will add Cullen and Josephine later once you take your first castle or whatnot.  But who knows at this point.

Well, we know that Cassandra recruited Cullen in Kirkwall, and since we aren't going there in DAI it means he is most likely already with us. And with two of the three already with us, it's only logical for Josephine to be there as well.

Well, we know that Cassandra recruited Cullen in Kirkwall, and since we aren't going there in DAI it means he is most likely already with us. And with two of the three already with us, it's only logical for Josephine to be there as well. 

 

Hmmm ok didn't know they confirmed Cullen being recruited before the start of the game.  Well then I have no idea what to think.  Having Culen with them at that point makes sense as he is a warrior.  But if the Inquisition has no power base at that point Josephine would be kind of useless.   So I am lost now heh.

Actually I see the beginning as one of the times Josephine will be the most crucial. We are an unknown to all other groups, and Josephine's diplomatic skills can get us settled in amongst them.

I hope so.  If nothing more then for greater replay ability.  I hope they don't make the only change be a few him and hers here and there...

Hope so, but don't expect much. Considering there being so many romances, race and gender differences will be slim.

My guess is that Josephine will be the first new recruit after the player character gets into the Inquisition. The PC is apparently none too pleased about being strong-armed into the organization. I can see Leliana heading off a potential crisis by introducing a new face who happens to be good at smoothing ruffled feathers.

I doubt it. I think Josephine and Cullen will be arriving a little later. Josie's bio says that Leliana, an old friend, sent for her to help manage the Inquisition, so I'm thinkking she and Cullen will be brought in later, after the Inquisitor is made the Inquisitor.

I don't think Vivienne will be interested in the Inquisition until it becomes reasonably powerful. The woman is ambitious and will not throw in with a group that has no power or influence. I would guess Solas will be the first mage to join. We'll just stumble across him somewhere in the wilderness.

 

I think it was mentioned somewhere that Cullen was recruited because of his leadership abilities following the chaos in Kirkwall, so I think he'll already be part of the inquisition, as well as Leliana, of course. Varric and Cass are definitely our first companions. She's the one who finds the PC, after all.

It'll be pretty interesting to have a diplomat on the team. Sure, Varric's been able to B.S. his way out of a few confrontations but for the most part the Party is there to beat the loot out of everything that isn't them. Combat is fun and is the main draw of the game, but it would be neat to be able to talk our way out of conflict. Think Deus Ex: Human Revolution's dialogue combat:



Maybe we'll get a Josie mini game?
