Well, that's very omnimous. I going to have to try and catch up
The OP has most everything that is big news. The rest I can fill you in on if you desire to know.

I'm having a hard time deciding if I should romance Cassandra, as I first had decided, or Josephine. She just sounds like a wonderful person to get to know.

You could always romance one the first time around and the other on a second playthrough.
I'm having trouble deciding myself too, really. There's four companions who I would be interested in romancing, which I'm not used too. Normally, I'm not very interested in most of them. I feel spoiled. ![]()
I think what helps is establishing your Inquisitor's personality, and then deciding on which romance fits. But maybe that's just a good way for how I like to play; I like to fully immerse myself in a character and I'm pretty serious about roleplaying.

I concur, as much as I would totally romance Lelianna, Merril and Tali, they just weren't right for my respective protagonists.
Looks like we can have game over moments in the story.

Where did you hear that?

It was in today's IGN interview. I think they just meant you would have to reload to a save point.

Maybe it's like the Witcher 2 when certain things can majorly screw you over

Like punching Roache in prison and eating a crossbow bolt for your troubles.
Purchase costs? She could use her silver tongue and negotiating prowess to affect our trade. So, if Leliana gives you improvements to herb collection and rune-finding, and Cullen helps improve armor and weapons, what perks do you suppose Josephine grants? Other than control of the Inquisition's coffee supply?

I think it was mentionned she would give us better contacts that would give access to rarer equipment.

Indeed as Bluedarke said, in the recent PC gamer article it was mentioned that we'll get access to better equipment to purchase and I think better prices in general.
Did anyone catch the Josephine Tarot card design ? It was in the demo. Any guesses so as to what she might represent ?

Most likely she provides :- Top of the line Crow-certified poisons, grenades and traps. Easier access to diplomats and ambassadors of other nations and groups. Luxurious and exotic Antivan Leather.
Also, she should and must provide :- Access to Antivan Masseuses and Masseurs who provide Antivan Massages. ![]()

I looked through pictures of a deck of Tarot Cards, and I can't really find one that looks similar to Josephine's or Leliana's.

Which is strange because the rest of the followers have their similarities with tarot cards. I'll look again.

Maybe we have to invent a new one :- The Scribbler. ![]()
Lelianna is definitely The World: she's naked, the bird, and since our Inquisitor is possibly the fool this description of The World "The World represents an ending to a cycle of life, a pause in life before the next big cycle beginning with the fool." perfectly matches her.
Still researching Josephine.
Maybe we have to invent a new one :- The Scribbler.
Sounds like a plan ![]()
Alright for Josephine I'd go for The Empress: femininity, beauty, nature, abundance.
She's surrounded by flowers and has a peaceful aura that resembles that of The Empress, and the description isn't far off either: the Empress encourages you to connect with others by nurturing, caring and supporting those around you. Find ways to support dialogue and open communication, creating a space to openly express your feelings.
OR (personal guess) The Magician: power, skill, concentration, action, resourcefulness.
The Magician may be a guy but he is still surrounded by flowers as well and his traits strongly resembles those of Josephine from what we know so far, and the description applies as well: "With the Magician Tarot card, you are inspired to apply skill and initiative to accomplish all your goals. You have a strong desire to begin something new, to ‘do, act, or go forth’. A ‘can-do’ attitude and strong sense of optimism will dominate a new beginning and thus the decisions that you make will have positive results."
That's the best I could do, sorry. Seriously even her tarot resemblance is ambiguous and difficult to find out, we never have things easy xD

I don't know the first thing about tarot, but I believe Leliana's card is supposed to be the Sun. Her portrait is contained with an outline of the Sun. Also, the Sun is used as a heraldric symbol for the Chantry that Leliana serves.
