Interesting, I wonder if we have to use Josephine to unlock Connections, or we could get the perks from another adviser and spend it in connections, we know little about that actually.
One thing I'm curious about is if you can bump into Josephine when you say send her somewhere and you go there yourself.

I think the various perk categories are linked to a specific advisor. This game seems to put a lot of focus on choices affecting the Inquisition and the world in general, so it would spoil the effect if any advisor could give us any kind of perk.
Cullen gives military perks to give us more firepower.
Leliana gives us spy perks to quietly remove problems.
Josephine gives us connection perks to give us weight in political circles.
I'm curious to see if allying with a particular faction could lead to problems with another. For example, if I recruit a group of Dalish, maybe it could hurt my standing in the Orlesian court or something like that. The possibilities...

All this talk of romancing myself/Josephine in DA:I has me wondering whether @ellisgreg is going to romance himself/Cullen. #doitforthevine

Did they model her face structure after you?
No, not that I'm aware of! So I have that going for me, at least.

Do we know how much control we'll actually have over the advisor thing? I realise we can't do everything ourselves but it seems a little sucky to reduce major plot points to 'send x to y'

There something I've been wondering lately. Is there anything that seems it may be drama in the Josephine romance that we know of? I only ask cause from the last DA games there hasn't been an LI yet without some form of drama and I think I can kind of take a guess in the general direction as to what may be drama for the other LIs but not Josephine. Kind of has me a little worried that she'll have a big drama bomb on her, since I highly doubt there's going to be a romance without any drama in it in game.

Yes.

Connections is the perk. When you complete quests/activities, you gain power, which you spend on perks. Different advisors offer different perks.

If you're talking about the War Table missions, they're not reducing plot points but rather enhancing them or introducing new ones that otherwise wouldn't exist. They wanted players to get a sense of the entire Inquisition growing in size and power as we go through the game, beyond what we see when we're questing with just three followers.

Well, the one thing I can think of is that since she is an Antivan Merchant Princess, and those families are similar to mafia families, she may have drama involving her being a Yakuza/Mafia Princess.

Well I heard that entire plotpoints like whether the dorfs in orzammar ally with you depend on those war table missions
sounds an awful lot like the infamous mass effect 3 fetch quests to me

Oh goodness, I sure hope not. DA2 already had plenty of that.

Yeah, I like this part of Inquisition. Gives the missions a nice layered feel. You have missions you do yourself as well as missions you send your advisors (and I assume agents) on. I think it should help give the Inquisition the feel of being an actual organization and not just you saving the world with a small band of people.

I think it might be more comparable to the ME3 Spectre missions you got in the Spectre headquarters on the Citadel and even then it sounds like from what Bioware says these can lead to different branching questlines depending on which you select. As a dwarf fan and someone who always likes visiting different groups of people in the game, I'd love it if you could visit Orzammar again (or have a delegation visit Skyhold) but if it is a choice between not being able to ally with Orzammar at all and this, I'll take it.

I'd rather just have a fully fleshed out questline with one of the most important factions in the series, lol.

Me too, but I'm assuming they didn't have resources for that. There are after all a lot of important factions in Thedas and we didn't meet all of them in Origins or DA2 yet so they obviously had to make a choice about which ones would be included and which would be left out. The dwarfs lost. ![]()

Didn't the devs come out and say we wouldn't be going to Orzammar? That doesnt mean that they wont send an envoy to Skyhold. That picture of the dwarves we saw might be that thaig that is near Orlais. i forget its name.

So am I the only one thinking that Josephine's romance is going to have a love letter/poem at one point?

The initiation of the romance would also include a Conditions & Terms form that would have to be signed by any and all involved parties.

No, you aren't. We've discussed there being personal letters with correspondence from her a few times this past year. ![]()

I read through them, although to be honest most of the time you really don't have a choice, agree or you don't have access to the internet, agree or your phone doesn't work...
Its friggin irritating because some of those contracts allow them to basically do anything.

You should read carefully, in Antiva those sort of contracts come with a killer early termination fee. Of course I'm sure it won't come to that.
