Dat accent.
Josephine having a conversation with Leliana would be total ear porn.

Will be. The advisors are supposed to have banters within our fortress. I'm so going to stalk these two.

I know ! Tell me about it ! ![]()
Very pretty voice and accent. ![]()
For now, I'm leaning towards Josephine for my first LI. I'm torn between her and Cassandra, but the news of her Italian accent gave the former the lead.
It's a tough choice though. I wanted to romance Cassandra, but since she's straight... I just go crazy for tomboys.
Josie is perfectly lovely though. She sounds sweet and genuine. And of course the accent is to die for. Actually, all the female LIs in DAI have a distinctive accent: Sera's is Welsh (or am I wrong?), Cassandra's is Russian/German/Something and Josephine's is Italian. So many flavors of sweet talk to be had...

Sera's is English and I think Cassandra's is German, but I'm not sure.
I agree though. Super sexy access all round.
Cassandra has a made up accent. Her VA created it, sort of like Tali's VA in the Mass Effect series.

Sera has an English accent, or from that general area. It's not the same as, say, Cullen's. I'm scared of accents from the UK area because the Welsh, Irish and Scottish usually don't like to have their accents referred to as English.
Cassandra's accent is weird. Her voice actress says that she did a blend, although I forget of what exactly. It sounds vaguely Russian to me.

I kinda like the idea of made up accents

I think you're getting English and British mixed up. English, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish are all British. Sera's accent is English though. Around Derbyshire county I think. Which is around the centre of England. That'd be why they all hate saying they have English accents
That and they hate us for oppressing them for centuries. I guess they're just picky like that.
Welp looks like I'm definitely romancing Josephine now.
Cassandra's accent doesn't sound German to me at all. Having German friends in college who I've occasionally heard speaking English, that is what I've based it upon. Living in the Netherlands helps, of course. It does sound a little French to me. Definitely not Russian though :/ Maybe it's a blend of all those things, though leaning more towards French. That's the way I'm hearing it, at least.
I'm gonna have to intervene here and say she doesn't sound French either. She sounds weird. ![]()

No Blue, she sounds just right for an Antivan. It is a mix of Spanish and Italian, IMO.
Josephine is an Antivan Merchant Princess.
To quote Lord Gaider himself, Antiva is fictionalized version of a medieval Italian city-state like Venice.
Here is the link to Gaider's post :- http://forum.bioware...or-what/#425979
Add this to the fact that Merchant Princes / Merchant Princesses are most commonly associated families like Medici, which are Renaissance Italian in nature.
Plus, the Antivans we have met like Zevran seem to speak a Spanish accent. Allegra tried to go for a mix of Spanish and Italian.
Plus the accent is hot. Really hot. ![]()
Josie's looks + Josie accent....That is one heck of a combo...Cassandra and Vivienne are going to have to step their game up to impress my Inquisitors.

I was referring to Cassandra. Not Josephine.

Basically a German regional accent.
Here's a guy showing a German accent.

He's pretty good.

Well... obviously. In Wales, Scotland and Ireland they have a number (yes, more than one!) regional accents that are not at all English accents for reason that should be obvious!
They certainly have British accents but only the English have English accents. As I say, obviously ![]()

And yes, Robyn Addison has a Derbsyshire accent. She's from Belper, just down the road from me.

That comes across as a touch patronizing... Anyway, thanks for the clarification. ![]()
I'm more familiar with accents from French speaking countries being, well, a French speaker. I know British accents are something of a science and very serious business to people who are into the subject.

Much like, I suspect, everywhere else, we in the UK have to put up with everyone who thinks our country has one or, if we're really lucky, two accents and geographically consists of only one city and/or one country (well, province really) where everyone all lives together and knows each other and is all the same. This breeds a certain amount of bitterness!

Oh I thought she was from Derby. I am still annoyed that I couldn't place her accent seeing as I also live not far from Belper.
