From poking around the forums, I learned that Solas and Cullen were late additions to the romance pool, which is why they are gated so heavily. The one year delay allowed for them to be added in. The Cullenites are not complaining too much in light of that fact. They almost didn't get him at all!
Yeah, I just saw that. That makes it slightly better at least and I really appreciate the fact that Mike Laidlaw came to the forums to post it himself, it makes it seem like they do care about those who are disappointed. Mostly I just wished they'd handle the reveals better and had make one of the extras gay. Alas, maybe next time.
I'm being a bit paranoid right now, so I do want to clarify that I have absolute sympathy for people who are currently disappointed in the latest romance reveals. I don't want to belittle their sadness and frustration (so long as they aren't attacking other fans), so I do apologize if I seemed a bit glib there. There is a lot of sadness right now, and I do hope that a few fans can perhaps find some joy in here.
If any fans decide to romance Josephine now as a result of today's announcement, I hope you love the romance. I'm biased, but it's really, really wonderful.
ALSO WHO GOT THE CODE MESSAGE ME SO I CAN HIGH-FIVE YOU
Because I'm also paranoid and not sure if you were referring to me or not: I totally wasn't upset - disappointed in some of their choices perhaps - but not personally. The four romances I was interested in were Varric, Josephine, Sera, and Dorian and so I'm very, very happy I got three out of four and I'm really excited about romancing Josephine!
Thanks for sticking around our thread and being so nice too! I do feel like we are an especially lucky thread because the voice actress of our character hangs around so much.
