Plot twist: Josephine is allergic to ducks.

Tank-bred duck is best duck.
Tank-bred duck is best duck.
it is very lifelike
smells correct as well
Thirtieth or so time I've been told I have reached my quota of positive votes for the day. Dammit.
I fear that Josephine and I may be incompatible. I've had an aversion to waterfowl ever since I was bitten by a goose.
Got bad history with them aswell but for Josephine I'll try to mend the breach. She's worth it!

Thats ok, She can cook you duck and every meal you can get sweet tasty revenge. The best kind. ![]()

We are witnessing the origins of Goose Man.
Just remember that with great power comes great responsibility.

No, she is a Swan.

Josephine as Odette ![]()
I'm just going to leave this here...

Okay, since it was seconded I put it in.
As for ontopic, here is Josephine holding a duck and recommending it as the Inquisition's mascot.
BTW, I imagine that Josie would love poetry based on themes of courtly love. My mind jumps to the Dolce Stil Novo because I studied it ![]()

Now, it's quite scary to actually talk about this considering Allegra seems to frequent the thread, but I'll do it anyway. I did some research on Dolce Stil Novo, and it turns out that the most well-known work of this literaty movement is of one Dante Alighieri, who's quite famous, of course, for his Divina Commedia. It wasn't easy trying to find a good example of this, though, as the internet can be a very confusing place when it comes to stuff like this, and most of the websites I found were in Italian, but I think I have one. It's called Donne ch’avete intelletto d’amore (which translates to "Ladies, Who Understand Love’s Every Way"), and I've put the first 14 lines in Italian as well as in English below.
EDIT: Okay something went wrong and it screwed up the format. Here's a link instead! http://www.italianst...poetry/vn11.htm

It does add a rather unique tinge to the proceedings, theorizing and detective-izing in a thread when a character's voice actress is an active participant! I dig, though. 'Scool.
Good find, LB!
EDIT: Ah! Aha! I finally acquired at least one further like to disburse to people! Yessss!

Would you look at that! I can like this post as well!
Oh and it seems Allegra has announced the first winner of her poetry contest on Twitter, and it's someone from here!
The first winner is someone from the BSN: Mistic, who won by picking sonnet 3 from Petrarch's Canzioniere: http://forum.bioware...o/?p=17259329 …
Yay, I won a code!
you, Allegra!
I didn't think Dante Alighieri wrote love/romance poetry, I've heard of the Divine Comedy though and have been meaning to pick it up for a while now.
Me too. It poses such interesting concepts, combined with a philosophical and theological depth that sound astonishing. The circles of Inferno, Purgatory, and Paradiso, and the way those three 'realms' shape the Divine Comedy's structure... definitely worth checking out sometime.
Yay, I won a code!
you, Allegra!
... and a Twitter follower (that'd be me)!
Congratulations! And can I just say that your choice of poetry was a great one? Truly. I'm just going to post it here because I can, and I love it.
I used that gif and now I have this song stuck in my head. Though, it does give me an idea of the relationship of the human Inquisitor and Josephine if they knew each other as children.
Aww, well thank you for the follow, too, LB! Feels almost full circle. Didn't we meet in January when you started "following" my first-time Dragon Age playthroughs?
And thanks for the poem appreciation! I've always loved that one.
Truth be told, I'm loving every poem posted. This is a great horizon-broadening experience. That's the thing about poetry... there's always another, waiting to be found.

Was that January?! Where has time gone... but yes, that is true. I still remember you going "ANDERSJUSTICEWHAT", hahaha.
Funny how things go.
But yeah, every poem I've seen so far has been great, not only on Twitter but also on this thread. It's quite refreshing to see such a... cultural discussion pop up in a forum thread about a videogame character. And that gives me a good feeling about Josephine too.
