That is one awesome plushy.
It's a beast, isn't it? Y'know, for a duck.
(Mind you, I'll keep my scary mallard tales to myself on this occasion. They don't belong here!)

Welp I'm looking forward to seeing her interact with Leliana, seeing as the two of them are old friends from way back. Was it said how they know one another btw?
Just that they are old friends.
Personally I am headcanoning that they met as young children when Josephine's mother brought her on her trips to Orlais and met with Lady Cecillie. So why those two talked, Leliana and Josephine would play. ![]()
Not only was Josephine written by the same person who wrote Liara, but they share the same animator as well.
Which should be noted was a character who had the best animations in the game and I'm not even biased because I never liked Liara much (I kinda did have a crush in ME3 tho)

So that means that Josephine is a alien with a cloaking field. Join your mind with me Josephine. ![]()

Why don't we have awesome plushies like that in the States?

Enter the Void.
Ever since I decided on romancing Josephine I've been planning to do that with my first and also canon Inquisitor (I role-play quite heavily and nothing helps more for that than not knowing the consequences of your character's actions): a Dalish First, male. I haven't really decided on the name yet, though.
At first I was going to name him Dar'Harel. Which you can translate roughly as 'To be dreaded/feared'. But now, I'm not so sure. I do know he's going to start out as being quite the aggressive guy, but over the course of the games he becomes a very diplomatic person, so my focus with him will mostly lie on Josephine out of the three advisors.
Mmmm... Liara.... I miss my blue space girl monogender person.
Aaaanyway. Looking forward to the alluring accent!
I'm still struggling between Human Male and Elven Female. Either way, likely a Rogue. I'm actually really odd about escaping my "will play a male human" self-insert comfort zone in games I play, which I'm trying to break. I just started a second file on Origins a little while ago and I'm happy to report I'm standing in the Dalish Camp, all elven and such.
I'm just glad that either route will afford me the chance to romance Josephine.
Aha I know that feel, I'm the same when it comes to playing a Dalish she-elf in Origins, have great intentions of doing something else but... I stumble.
Rogue fan also, my favourite class, will be playing as another Dalish fem rogue this time too for my first run.

Isn't it though ![]()

Best of luck to both of us on branching out, bit by bit!
Actually, what's funny is that I played a warrior in Origins and 2 until now, even. But I've recently realized I really ought to be playing a rogue... what woke me to this sudden mental state is the fact that a few of my friends, when gamer-talking at me, pointed out that I partake in Way of the Sword (an organized dueling sport... thing) tournaments and clearly fight more like a rogue than just about anyone I'm up against, so they were like, "this is an intervention; stop wielding claymores in video games, Jeff, you're doing it wrong."
Of course, technically as far as I'm aware none of my opponents have ever cast magic spells on me, for that matter, but I get what they're saying. I'm pretty much all in for roguery now.
I also just learned, as I typed that message, that roguery is in fact a word.
I know a lot of people in the forums are excited about the romances, but do you think that Josephine and the other advisors will have a meaningful friendship route? After playing ME2, I value what friendship dialogues can provide much more than before.

I think so. It was possible to be friends with our companions in Origins and 2. Why not now?

Of course. In fact I much preferred the friendship path my fem warden had with Morrigan than the romance path I had with her when I made a male warden to try it out.

edit:
The Inquisitor looks kinda sleepy...
Banter!
Inquisitor: Am I still dreaming?
Josephine: No. You are quite awake, I assure you.
Inquisitor: *takes Josie's hand* You're right. This is much nicer than a dream.
Josephine: *coy giggle*
I have an imagine in my head of Jose throwing a shoe at the Inquisitor.

I think in the writer interview you can get clues about the friendship route, also "Finding a voice for her, finding the ways she fit into the world. Writing the scenes where she becomes friends with the PC."
I am actually kinda hoping for her to have a more manipulative side, since she sounds like an ENFJ. It would be funny for the PC or companions getting in situations that she puts in motions.

I don't think I'd like that. It sounds quite out of character if that were to be the case, at least to me it does.

I forgot about that line. Promising.

That is true, but the word 'manipulative' doesn't seem to fit Josephine in my mind. At least not when the Inquisitor and companions are concerned. But maybe that's just me interpreting "It would be funny for the PC or companions getting in situations that she puts in motions." as a working-behind-the-scenes-Josephine.

I mean Machiavelli was a people's person too, he did understood human nature. It makes sense that her worst side is being manipulative, since she seems like a competent diplomat, poor decision making is out of the questions.
Josephine seems to lead people to her goals and avoid direct confrontations of ideals, if she can. There is manipulations in there and I really would like to see that in action.

It doesn't have to be a negative manipulation.
For example, sooner or later the Inquisitor will have to deal with courts and candidates to the throne. Or that rumoured ball quest with an assassin included. Josephine looks like the prime suspect to get us an invitation. Not to talk about giving quests. After all, it shouldn't be always General "Inquisitor, we need to take that keep" Cullen or Spymaster "Inquisitor, you need to kill that enemy" Leliana.
Of course, if there's a ball, maybe the Inquisitor could take Josephine to it? I liked that in the Citadel DLC of ME3 you could take whoever you wanted to the casino party, including Shepard's love interest.
And an idealistic republican.
Oh, yeah. For those who aren't patient enough for history books, I recommend reading The Prince tome from the collection Manga de Dokuha. It's more a story about the Italian Wars and Machiavelli's biography than about the little book itself, but it's very illustrative. Poor Machiavelli.
